Windshield washer malfunction questions on behalf of my former 2001 base Boxster.

My friend tells me the xenon headlight washers work, but not the windshield. He says he doesn't hear the motor when attempting to operate the windshield washer, so initially it seems to be an electrical issue. The fuse panel apparently doesn't show a specific fuse for the washer motor. (Are there separate motors for each fluid path?) Does anyone know which fuse(s) to check and perhaps which wiring harnesses, numerically or visually? Lastly, could the control wand be the issue?
