I have some track time at a 'local' track on Thursday (oct 17th)

Forecast for that day is 44F to 48F and 50% chance of precipitation...

Which tires should I use on my 2001 Boxster S...

Kumho ps31 - these are my everyday tires

Or

Toyo R1Rs - warm weather track rubber.....

I swap tires at home and drive just over 1hr to the track.

Going to grand bend.

Any input from track gurus?
...I'd stay with the R1Rs.
As long as it doesn't get below 38F.
Make sure you REALLY warm up the tires before you lean into them.
It may take up to 4 laps to warm up under those conditions.
Happy Boxstering,
Pedro

Racecar spelled backwards is Racecar

"Racing is life. Anything before or after is just waiting" ... Steve McQueen as Michael Delaney in "LeMans"

"If you wait, all that happens is that you get older"... Mario Andretti

"Being second is to be the first of the ones who lose" ... Ayrton Senna
thx.

updated forecast is 70% POP with 2-4mm of rain (that's about 3-5/32" of rain)

Low tonight of 46F, high tomorrow of 48F...

I'll go with the R1R's - lots of tread left.
