Re: lamin-x

I have a 2000 Boxster - and I rear ended a RAV4 over the weekend. His car - fine. My car - ouch.

Allstate is giving me grief about replacing the headlamp - they want to drop in a used one. The current one is unblemished by age (it was replaced when a deer bolted in front of me).

I can buy from ebay an OEM replacement:
ebay OEM replacement (one side)
and replace the pair (the passenger side is showing age/some yellowing).

Any thoughts on this model / others I should look at instead?

Sounds like a good deal for halogens from AL (an OEM supplier). I sold my old ones on eBay, and used to proceeds towards a new pair made by Magneti Marelli (an OEM supplier) at a similar price. I also spend like $50 on UV resistant clear film from Lamin-x for some protection. Still looking good a few years later.

I ended up ordering this pair: ebay pair of headlights although it was $800 for me. $58 'tax' (from Latvia?) and they are on the way

guess I can sell the old one on ebay myself.

Bought the lamin-x and it was delivered. The headlights .... still not until 6/26. Must be a really slow Latvian boat. Good thing we have a curfew and I can't drive at night anyway.

I'll post more when they arrive.
