Has anyone changed the hose from the fluid reservoir to the clutch master cylinder on a porsche 981? Does it just pull off, or is there a clip to release it?
The return line from the cylinder to the reservoir is one continuous line. It's female at the cylinder end with pressure release coupling.
The feed line has s fitting where it converts into a hose (has the coiled end at the cylinder) it's male at the end. To release4 you have to pull the ring on there cylinder's coupling.

.I think you are referring to the hose to the slave cylinder. I'm referring to the short one going to the master cylinder under the dash.
I got the hose off by just pulling. Tried to install new one, but couldn't get it on the master cylinder, and ended up destroying it. I had some old fuel line, and I got it on and it works fine. Is there any danger that brake fluid could damage this hose? I have a piece of this line soaking in brake fluid, and so far it's fine.
... will damage the fuel line in a few months.
It will react with any water molecules in the plastic and will make it inflexible and brittle quickly.
Keep an eye on it and replace it if needed.
