I need to replace my driver door window regulator but am uncertain of how to disable the door air bag… prior to disassembly.
I would appreciate instruction on how to do this safely.
I have replaced window regulator assemblies before on other cars… however, no air bags were involved.

disconnect the battery, put something over the hood latch to make sure the frunk does not inadvertently shut closed with no power. Wait 10 minutes to be certain the system is discharged and you should be good to go.

I did not realize it was as simple as cutting of the electrical supply then awaiting a period of time for the system to discharge. The air bags unexpectedly activating has kept me from replacing the regulator for sometime.
I’ll disconnect the battery then give it plenty of time to discharge.
