I hope these pics work. This piece fell our of the drivers side while closing the top. Doesn’t seem broken. What does it do? How do I fix it? Please and thanks
that is REALLY misplaced. it loosely clips to the arm of the clamshell. i’ll upload a picture soon.
Does it have a genuine purpose other than esthetics?
Because on my 987 they came off and forced the push rod out of it's socket, so I never installed them back on..
Thank you. I have replaced it while the top was fully open. Just doesn’t seem super secure?
Those pieces protect the convertible top from getting caught in the mechanism.
It's not very secure because it doesn't have to be.
You can bend in the metal tabs so they put more pressure on the arm, but I would use them.
Happy Boxstering,
Pedro

Racecar spelled backwards is Racecar

"Racing is life. Anything before or after is just waiting" ... Steve McQueen as Michael Delaney in "LeMans"

"If you wait, all that happens is that you get older"... Mario Andretti

"Being second is to be the first of the ones who lose" ... Ayrton Senna
that's probably a better answer than what I was going to suggest...to increase downforce (or is that to decrease lift) spinning smiley sticking its tongue out
