Great weather here for the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. Snapped this photo today about 100 km's west of Montreal.

Not as much color in the leaves here in NJ yet, but getting there…

OK, so it's Sunday. We got out for a drive north of here into the Georgian Bay area where the leaves are starting to turn. It was pretty overcast with the occasional leaky cloud, but managed to drive the whole thing with the top down. That's always a bonus.

Here with a few signs that bring joy to a Porsche driver.

It's a gorgeous day here in Southern Ontario. The trees are starting to change and today it's up to a balmy 65 F, so I took advantage of the sunshine in hunt of some more Fall scenery.

What a beautiful shot! Good work, G. Those of us in the northern climes have to take advantage when we can.

… for a couple of reasons:
A.- There ain’t no fall colors in Florida
B.- Cant go for a drive because my car is getting her 300,000 mile makeover.
When finished, sometime later this year, I’ll post some photos.

Happy Boxstering

Since I'll be long gone (aka, dead) before I'd even come close to 300K miles, what does that makeover entail? and, who's doing it?
She gets:
New carbon fibre hood (old one was damaged a couple of years ago on the highway)
New convertible top (it still has the OEM)
New complete paint job and dent removal
New seat upholstery in Leather and cloth (you'll need to wait for which cloth)
Same cloth accents on lower door panels and lower dash
New Headlights
New seatbelts in, you guessed it: orange!
New Coco Mats to compliment
Some minor touchup in the interior
She gets raised 19mm. Since her track days are over no need to go so low anymore
I think that's it ... for now
Happy Boxstering,
Pedro

I'm guessing the paint will be "match to sample" since you wouldn't want the exterior clashing with the seatbelts.

Oh my! Exciting stuff, Pedro - and mostly cosmetic! Let me know if you need any other ideas on throwing money at a 986 winking smiley

She'll be a brand new old car. Guess when you own your own garage, you need to only do cosmetic stuff at 300K. Figured complete engine and suspension rebuilds. Have to post picks of your plastic surgery baby.
"A mile of highway will take you one mile. A mile of runway will take you anywhere."
She's being retired from track duty so only nice roads for now on.
No need to replace PSS9s. I'll just re-set them for softer dampening.
I will adjust the ride height upwards about 3/4 inch.
Engine is in great shape. Keeping the Accusump for cold-start pre-oiling.
Brakes are fine, although I am also refinishing the calipers. Same livery.
Off to the paint shop this AM to see the progress.
Happy Boxstering,
Pedro

wow! she’s gonna go another 300!

i’m only 1/2 way there…a minor refresh at 150 last year
Yesterday a few of us had a chance to get out for a nice Colour drive. It was sunny most of the day, with temperatures getting up to around 50 F. Unfortunately, most of the colours were pretty much past their prime except for a couple of spots. Still, it was a great drive.

What camera are you using these days?
Thanks. I'm still using the Nikon D7100.
