i love driving around the pismo beach/morrow bay/cambria area, including the inland agricultural and canyon areas! lots to see, but the best part is that there aren’t lots of people. smiling smiley a great start to a day off.

don't know if the general population has heard the news of the historic storms we've been having up here in BC. flooding and destruction have been extreme. roads are wiped out. farm animals killed by the thousands.
i've been out of gas for a few days and none of the gas stations in our town had gas. no shortage of the gas itself, just the trucks couldn't get through to deliver it.
some supermarkets have run out of milk and dairy products, all kinds of meat, bread.
it will hopefully straighten out soon but the farm situation will take a while to recover with so many animals lost.

so basically be happy that you have gas to buy!

edit: typo

i’m sorry to hear this. best wishes to everyone affected.
thanks.

was finally able to get gas late last night. there just happened to be a tanker truck filling the station right near our house so i drove over there and parked in front of the pumps until he finished. apparently they are escorting fuel trucks through the damaged parts of the highways. availability seems to be improving slightly.

but i'm guessing the meat and dairy shortages will be longer.

two takeaways from this: should bought a tesla and maybe it's time to go vegetarian.

hah! just kidding!!! crazy talk that is. smileys with beer

Good to hear that you were able to get gas. From what we're seeing in the news, things look pretty grim on the mainland. Puts things into perspective when you see an entire town (except for the roof tops) under water. That makes you thankful if everything is "just OK"..

Tesla owners have had their "alleged" problems too. Seems the server was down and many couldn't unlock their cars with their phone. I just don't get this feature. confused smiley It seems a lot more work to get out your phone, unlock it, fire up the app and unlock the car, probably requiring 2 hands. Seems a lot simpler to just take out a key and push a button. And, for those who find that way too much work, there's always keyless entry.

Stay safe and dry.
