Engine vibration
Nauti986 - 7 months ago
Need idea on engine vibration plus or minus 1200 rpm. Motor mounts are new, not the dmf. Car has new billet flywheel. Clutch, and pressure plate all new. IMS is upgraded bath type. Parts are all on the table and look good.
Any theories appreciated.
Car is a 2002 2.7.
"motor mounts"

There is only one motor mount, in the front center of the engine. The rear of the engine is bolted to the transmission, which has two transmission mounts.

What specifically have you replaced and did you use stock parts?

Also, do you only feel the vibration in the range of 1200 rpm? I'm not sure I understand your comment.
what of all those changes/repairs you mentioned were done coincident with the arrival of the vibration - in other words, can we find a correlations between a change and the vibration. I do suspect you have a mount - one of the three - failing. Or somethign as simple as a mis\fire?

... will certainly introduce a vibration (harmonic).
The OEM flywheel is a dual-mass flywheel for that purpose specifically.
It has an elastometer to dampen between the two masses.
I see this all the time:
Billet flywheel = vibration.

Racecar spelled backwards is Racecar

"Racing is life. Anything before or after is just waiting" ... Steve McQueen as Michael Delaney in "LeMans"

"If you wait, all that happens is that you get older"... Mario Andretti

"Being second is to be the first of the ones who lose" ... Ayrton Senna

Conclusion of the vibration.... It was the brand new clutch/flywheel... One of the bolts was backing out and several others were loose
Thanks for the input, we do appreciate it
