Hi,

I installed an aftermarket (robbins or sierra - can't remember)

I had to access the top of the engine the other day to check the PS fluid... I was getting a bit of a groan doing parking lot full lock maneuvers. I ended up having to add about 1-2 oz of PS fluid to the reservoir for it to read on the cold line (engine was cold).

Anyhoo... the glass window does limit access on the 99-02 models. I did bungee the back up, but I think I'll need to remove the clamshell if I'm doing any extended work in there.
... you're able to get the glass to fold.
That's one of four reasons I don't like the aftermarket glass on pre 2003 986s.
The other three are higher cost, less visibility and more weight.
Happy Boxstering,
Pedro

Despite those negatives, i'm happy with the glass window roof. 1st time i've accessed the engine in 3 yrs since I've installed the new top.
