I cannot open the driver's door of my 1998 Boxster from the outside with the key. After inserting the key, the only door which will open from the outside is the passenger door. I then have to open the driver door from the inside. Also the automatic door key won't work on the door or the trunck, even after replacing the battery and depressing it and seeing the red light on the key. Anyone have any solutions? Porsche dealer claims it would cost $400 to re-program the door key to solve the key problem, and $125 to open the door panel to determine why the driver door won't open from the outside, even with the key.
Thanks
Rick
