Here's a nice video of the (new?) GT2 RS. 620 HP (more than the CGT!!!) and 700 Nm of twisty power!!!
I think i've found my new car!
911 GT2 RS

but does porsche really need to show this car drifting around a track? i thought that they made race cars and that's not proper racing technique. who are they trying to impress, adolescents or grown men?

"who are they trying to impress, adolescents or grown men?" - posers perhaps....

"Bart, with $10,000, we'd be millionaires! We could buy all kinds of useful things like...love!"
Not the fastest way to drive on track but

consider the audience, most folks don’t have clue how to drive at track and videos like this are pure showboating. On the on the other hand I wish I had that level of car control!

Great car, fun video, just not being driven the way the good doctor intended.

and the little logo on his shirt sleeve wouldn't hurt either.

Happy Porsche-ing,

Racecar spelled backwards is Racecar

"Racing is life. Anything before or after is just waiting" ... Steve McQueen as Michael Delaney in "LeMans"

"If you wait, all that happens is that you get older"... Mario Andretti

"Being second is to be the first of the ones who lose" ... Ayrton Senna
Martin you are right, it is for a specific audience

This video is targeted at the U.K. audience where every episode of Top Gear or Fifth Gear has at least one car driven in the "tail out" style. I find it great fun to watch and would like to be able to exercise that level of car control. That said, it is still far more satisfying to complete the perfect lap, than the dirty lap.
Sometimes "tail out" is good

Like the time Jody Scheckter passed Mark Donahue around the outside, "tail out" as you say, at the heel of the boot at The Glen and went on to win. I believe it was a Formula 5000 race, this was in the 70's. One of the most beautiful pieces of on the edge driving I ever saw.
