... the CLU (Central Locking Unit), not the Immobilizer, is wet. Try removing the driver's seat and then the CLU. Disconnect it from it's harness, remove it from the car and open the case. Remove the printed circuit board and dunk it in a shallow recipient and cover it with isopropyl alcohol. Shake it well so the alcohol penetrates all the spaces, in particular between the chips and connections.by Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Main Forum
... of a reliable sensor that could determine with certainty an impending IMS bearing failure. We'd have to wait and see if it will do that, but I'm intrigued. I always applaud inventiveness and entrepreneurship and I hope it works and makes Jake a lot of money. Happy Porsche-ing, Pedroby Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Main Forum
To me, the CDR 210 is a MUCH better looking unit than the 220. The 210 looks more modern, even though it predates the 220. The 210 was first introduced on the 1997 993 and 986. The 220 was introduced on the 1999 996 and 986. Audio wise they are both as good (or as bad) as the other. I also like the removable faceplate on the 210. ... the schematics for that hard-wiring. My OEM radio is also a 210, which I pulled in favor of a 220, just because the 220 has the AUX IN and the 210 doesn't. I really like the 210 way more than the 220 and would happily put it back if I can hard-wire a solution like yours for my iPhone. Happy Boxstering, Pedroby Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Main Forum

... as the rules state, the 48 Hrs. at Sebring is not a DE. It is not an instructed event, therefore no students are allowed. That's one of the reasons why only CERTIFIED ADVANCED SOLO drivers are allowed. Another reason is that some of the sessions are run at night. Sebring (in the winter) is a very dark place. At night, you lose your visual cues for braking and turn-in, so you HAVE to memorby Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Main Forum
... which you may even be able to DIY for free! I did. Just find a plastic sleeve (or a 1" sample piece of tubing - from Home Depot) that fits the 12 volt socket. ... is not heat, it's UV (sunlight). Tires are made to heat up as they turn, so heat is not an issue. What damages rubber the most is UV light. If they were stored properly without direct sunlight, there should be no problem using 3.5 year old tires. It is recommended that tires be replaced every 6 years, so you still have 2.5 years of use.
