Thanks for posting the article Pedro. A good read.by eicheldp - Main Forum
I just wanted to drop a quick note on the situation. I just changed the oil and replaced the oil pressure sensor. All is now well on the Boxster. The oil pressure sensor on a 986 is wrench accessable through the front access panel. However you need to snake your hand down through the top in order to grasp the sensor and change it out. Being a contortionist helps. Right now the oil level sby eicheldp - Main Forum
Grant, Well I guess I overfilled the car by ~one half of a quart, that gives me more incentive to change the oil again. I ordered a new pressure switch and will wait for it's arrival. I tried searching for the note you mentioned but had no luck. I'll let you know if it was a simple fix.by eicheldp - Main Forum
Hi all: I have a 2004 S and I encountered a problem this morning. Two days ago before a run, I checked the oil level w/ the electronic indicator and noticed that the level was low by 2 bars. I thought, it's due for an oil change soon so no need to top off the level now. When I started the car this morning, I drove a few hundred feet and the oil light came on. I went back into the garage andby eicheldp - Main Forum
Pedro, Will you be offering any specials on the Techno equipment this year? Just wondering.... Thanksby eicheldp - Blue Ridge Boxster Summit (BRBS)
QuoteGuenter in Ontario Can't wait for the end of May. The Boxster needs to see the light of day after this long hibernation. This looks like the preparation for the trip to Maggie Valley.by eicheldp - Main Forum
If it is unopened and the seal is in tact, there should be no problem.by eicheldp - Main Forum
QuoteGary in SoFL I used Rejex on my wheels after I flushed the brake system. I have not had a buildup of brake dust on my wheels in a month. I just spray the wheels and they look great.by eicheldp - Main Forum

Installed the new cap last evening and drove the Boxster to work this morning. A very pleasurable one hour commute. No condensation on the trunk lid after the drive. Problem solved. Thank you for all of your help and information.by eicheldp - Main Forum

Still waiting for the cap to show up to eliminate that possibility, but I have the sizes and part numbers. I can probably pick them up from my O-ring supplier, just trying to decide if natural rubber, n-butyl or buna-n is a better choice. All are compatible with ethylene glycol.by eicheldp - Main Forum
I just checked the roster and saw that there were 84 cars registered. More than any of the last 8 years posted. The roads will be jammed with Boxsters!!!! What a good thingby eicheldp - Blue Ridge Boxster Summit (BRBS)
Thanks for the info, I'll keep that in mind after the new cap is installed & tested. Did you get the bleeder valve from the dealership?by eicheldp - Main Forum
QuoteCK in Chatham NJ Sometimes the gasket will go bad within the bleeder valve, but I don't recommend trying to replace it. I don't think it will ever go on as well and as tight as it originally was. My condensation had gotten a little worse after replacing the two gaskets. Change the cap and if that doesn't work either live with it or replace the entire bottle. I've ordered a new expansion tanby eicheldp - Main Forum
This will be this weekend's project. Thanks.by eicheldp - Main Forum
I have an 04 S Tiptronic and took the car out today for two hour long runs (~100 miles RT). At the end of the first run I noticed condensation on the rear trunk lid above the oil fill cap and cooling system cap. The liquid was clear and appeared & felt "oily". Both caps were on tight and pressure was released when I opened the cooling system cap. The car never went over temp during the dby eicheldp - Main Forum

QuoteRoger987 Since no one here has yet bought a Boxster or Cayman GTS, I'll weigh in with my entirely subjective take on the new fascia. If the image Gary posted accurately represents the new 'look', I'm not a big fan, to put it mildly. That car is one of the Lee sisters - 'Ug', or 'Home', take your pick. If those vents on the front fascia were vertical instead of horizontal, it would look verby eicheldp - Main Forum
