which you should be able to tell by condensed water dripping from the bottom of the car when the A/C is on. If the A/C is working then the problem is that you're getting A/C + heat, which is a totally different problem than the A/C not working.by Boxsterra - Main Forum
Should be about $1 at the dealership. Really they should give it to you for free. Part # is 900.067.089.01by Boxsterra - Main Forum
after the brake wear light comes on before you have to change the pads. And there is plenty of audible warning before there is a real problem. Going all the way to BRBS is no problem. If you're still on the original pads, chances are it's just the fronts that are worn. If that's the case, I would get a new set of pads and we'll pop them in. Or if someone up in CT has a TSBL session we can doby Boxsterra - Main Forum

Ah, but they actually are in a manner of speaking. Adjusted for inflation Boxsters have gotten cheaper (base price) and stayed the same (base + options). But they've added a few more fancy options so it's possible to spend a little more if you deck it out.by Boxsterra - Main Forum

Top 5 reasons: 1) Oil filter will pick up shrapnel 2) Magnetic drain plug won't even capture all iron pieces so it won't save you 3) Drain plugs are designed to be sacrificial. Many mag ones are not. 4) More expensive but no better* 5) Problems can be detected effectively by inspecting the oil filter Magnetic drain plugs are a solution looking for a problem. * They are actually better iby Boxsterra - Main Forum
When the car starts misfiring the computer tries to compensate. Its inability to compensate can cause lots of other codes. Since the problem followed the coils and it is bank-dependent, the primary problem is almost definitely the coils. I would just replace the 3 bad ones. They're about $50 apiece. Once you've replaced them, see what codes persist. A lot of misfiring can foul your plugs but Iby Boxsterra - Main Forum

I have this set and I use it regularly. It's a great investment: http://www.harborfreight.com/100-piece-security-bit-set-68457.html Lots of vendors of it on eBay too but I really like Harbor Freight for their selection, prices, and customer service so I tend to support them first.by Boxsterra - Main Forum

I would call them on the phone first. They may not have the item in stock and it's going to make you more upset to have to make two trips. One time I got my car back from the dealer and there was a big black grease smudge on the (light tan) carpet. I thought about picking my fights and letting it go but in the end I called them to explain my issue with the service manager. They sent someone outby Boxsterra - Main Forum

A slightly low coolant level generally won't cause overheating unless air gets sucked into the system, which only happens if the reservoir is quite low. If that's the case, the problem will generally persist until you bleed out the air. Driving with the bleeder valve open for a while should do the trick. One thing to check (since it's easy) is the ballast resistors. Instructions here: http://peby Boxsterra - Main Forum
The given stats could be based on extrapolation, research, or by strict numbers (examples seen by Porsche). If Porsche had done experiments to determine the actual failure rate that could be subject to disclosure. Information is good. I look forward to hearing more.by Boxsterra - Main Forum

1) I didn't know that facts about the failure rate had been posted (I have certainly seen lots of opinions) 2) My estimate jives with that figure. Being able to estimate is generally useful.by Boxsterra - Main Forum
