Looking forward to this year's BRBS. We will have a little human in tow. We have tried to fit the carseat in the backseat of the 993, but my knees have to be up on the dashboard as a passenger. It will be a long drive from Ohio like that. Does anyone know if it's legal to use the frunk for a carseat?by kimhammersmith - Blue Ridge Boxster Summit (BRBS)
We had so much fun meeting Laz and seeing all the Porsches in Raleigh! Ryan drank some more of the kool-aid last weekend, and came back home researching Porsches for sale....He's willing to sell his S2000 (that he bought right before he met me) and has narrowed it down to Boxsters 09 and newer, or a 996 TT. Hoping I will be able to pull the (wallet) trigger by BRBS 2014! And I sure wish my dad waby kimhammersmith - Main Forum
Pedro -- I will ask, but probably not.... The Porsche exhibit opens Oct 12--there is a car meetup that morning. I was planning on going to the exhibit on opening day (will be in the area already that weekend)...taking a friend who has a lowly 912E but is a Porsche enthusiast nonetheless. Or we can go Sunday instead to see Jeff Zwart (Laz is interested in this one)... Associated events are here:by kimhammersmith - Main Forum

Ryan and I had such a fantastic time this weekend at BRBS XV! We enjoyed our time with such wonderful new and old friends, and thanks a million to Maurice, Stefan, Pedro, and everyone else who helped us diagnose and fix problems with my dad's rehabilitated car. Porsche Pete's Boxster took a hit early morning Jan 30 when a tornado blew right over it's Kentucky home. It's brand new 40x60 building -- flattened to the ground. Some of it fell onto the car, the suction must have been pretty strong to SUCK the headlights out! Lots and lots of dings (mom had just spent $1000 fixing one small dent right before Christmas!), and it went for a little joy ride off tby kimhammersmith - Main Forum
i know it is amazing! however, the factory wrote me back today (much quicker than i anticipated) and they have no tours that day due to being Easter Monday. argh! will have to be next trip!by kimhammersmith - Main Forum
I just emailed Porsche to see if there is space for a factory tour on April 9...does anyone here have good connections for Porsche Pete's daughter (and her lovely husband)? I was in Stuttgart in 2003, only to find out I had to have an advanced reservation for the factory tour, so I only got to see the museum Is Chris from Germany still on this board?by kimhammersmith - Main Forum
Great to hear! Thanks for continuing to remember and honor my dad.by kimhammersmith - Blue Ridge Boxster Summit (BRBS)
Although it wasn't a registered plate (mom moved along with the Boxster to Kentucky in 2008), Dad still made an appearance at my wedding on July 23 at the Duke University Chapel. The Boxster was hand washed that morning, and dad's license plate attached with double-sided tape for pictures. Our professional photographer knew the importance of my dad's car, so he also got some shots following us arby kimhammersmith - In Chuck's memory
