Quotegrc0456 We are on the waiting list for Switzerland Inn and look forward to attending our BRBS in June! Hope to see some of you there! I meant to say our "first" BRBS. We hope to meet many new friends. I can see that our Canadian contingent travels well!by grc0456 - Main Forum
To you and yours as well, Pedro! May your 2016 be filled with success in your Garage, Board and other endeavors - and, of course, many happy miles behind the wheel of your Boxster!by grc0456 - Main Forum

Well, I would reply but - living in New England - people never believe what we say about air pressure and deflationby grc0456 - Main Forum
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Santa! PS: Not sure if you had anything to do with it, but thanks for the warm weather lately. I got to take the 225 horse open sleigh out for a nice ride yesterday It continues to be the best present I ever got!by grc0456 - Main Forum
Best outcome you could have gotten. And what a good-looking familyby grc0456 - Main Forum
QuoteRoger987 You're half right. To replace the bearing, the case would have to be split. But, it's my understanding that Pedro's DOF can still be installed to lubricate the bearing, once the outer bearing seal is removed. Dittoby grc0456 - Main Forum
Sweet ride. Agree on the color combo. Good luck with it!by grc0456 - Main Forum
Wow! What a little champion! So happy for you, Pedroby grc0456 - Main Forum
Great news and congratulations to you, your wife, and the proud parents. Beautiful baby! You may recall from when we met you that my wife, Ellen, has been a NICU nurse for 30 plus years. She's seen and knows alot. Email or PM me if you ever have any questions or just want to run something by her. Garyby grc0456 - Main Forum
Quotetom coughlin I hear behind me "I like your car". Now we all hear something like that from time to time and whereas I generally just say thanks, this time the voice was young so I turned and there walking through the parking lot with his mom was a boy maybe three. He spoke in sentences, but it sounded as though he hadn't been doing so for that long a time. I responded saying something about hby grc0456 - Main Forum
Wow, so much vitriol on the subject on the 986forum posts! My two cents: Its a car issue we're talking about here, people. Not only that, but for cars that are 6-18 years old. It is possible there is more than one way to address the possible IMSB failure issue. It is OK to disagree as to which one is the "best." It is not OK to attack, mock or disrespect those that disagree with you. I am fiby grc0456 - Main Forum
......I decline to answer that on the grounds that I may incriminate myself or spousal unit.by grc0456 - Main Forum
I saw that pic from BRBS too.....wow! Stunning! I bet it doesn't show fingerprints as much as a darker color, such as my old Midnight Blue Metallic.by grc0456 - Main Forum
I didn't weigh it, but I took a pic. This is only the driver's side. The other side was equally as bad. Mostly leaves, ciggie butts and pebbles. I also used my leaf blower to blast out the smaller particulate. I'm definitely thinking about getting the meshes now. I haven't looked at what is available for my 986.2, but hope they are just snap-in.by grc0456 - Main Forum
Yes, a magnifying glass will definitely help as those grid lines are pretty small. I think the grid repair kit comes with pre-cut masking strips. I hope I have a steady hand!by grc0456 - Main Forum
An exciting time though, no? Like waiting for XMAS morning. Except you don't know exactly when XMAS morning isby grc0456 - Main Forum
For, for anyone interested, I found the solution to my defroster issue - the Frost Fighter Tab Bonding Kit. Used it today and it worked like a charm! If you need to buy a tab like I did, make sure you get this one - 2310-WJC Uni-Clip Defroster Tab (1) - $5.95. It says fits Toyota, Honda and Nissan. I took a chance as it visually looked like the best match to fit the 986 wiring harness. Fitby grc0456 - Main Forum
Hi, I had the top service position just because I wanted to learn how to access the engine of my newly bought 03 Base (thanks, Pedro!). I noticed the wiring harness for the rear glass window defroster was unplugged and dangling free. Figured maybe I mistakenly unplugged it. But on closer inspection I noticed the soldered-on connection was missing from the glass. I looked all over and under tby grc0456 - Main Forum
Thanks, Gunter! I agree 100%. These cars have a timeless look. Yes, it seemed like summer around here when we went to see Mr. Bonilla a few weeks ago, and now it is fall - my favorite season. I've gone for a few top-down night drives when the temp was in the mid-50F range. Got to take advantage while I still can.by grc0456 - Main Forum
...and it was such a glorious day here in New England, I had to take it for a spin and take a few pics. This is is the car I purchased from Pedro, and is my first P-car.by grc0456 - Main Forum
QuoteJackintheBoxster All of your math above makes sense, except it ignores the key element that some people buy manuals because they enjoy shifting gears as part of driving. For those for whom that's not important, automatics in all of their guises have been more attractive since their introduction in the 50s (I'm not including those half-automatics from the '40s).
