I've seen less than acceptable paint color matching from them. There's a small shop in Tigertail Blvd. near Bass Pro Shop that does great paint work. I think they're in Hollywood or Dania Beach. ... this afternoon. During this past week been visiting, what I'm told is the highest Porsche-per-capita country in the world, the Dominican Republic. And, I must say that I've seen hundreds of Porsches from Cayennes (mostly) to Boxsters, Caymans and 911s. I even got the chance to drive my brother's Cayman to the local Porsche Dealer while he followed in his SUV to drop it off for a scheduledby Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Main Forum

Through the years, maybe because of the Cub's drought and the Cards' success, he became a rabid fan, even naming his dog "Cubbie" and teaching her to rub her nose when he says" Cardinals stink". ... in life, you'll find well-intended but diverging answers to your question. My recommendation is: Don't change it. Especially because you've never had any issues with coolant and have only had to top off once. The coolant system is a closed loop that can only be contaminated from an external source when you have a failure, generally a gasket, pump or cap.. ... the issue. If your engine wasn't connected to the chassis it could not transfer any vibrations. If you solidly connect the engine to the chassis it will transfer most of the vibrations. So the key is to make a connection (Motor Mount) that gives your engine a solid support but transmits the least amount of vibrations. So, any material on the mount will transmit, not absorb, vibrations into tby Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Main Forum

... the new engines on the Caymans have slightly different requirements than before. The new Cayman S mount was redesigned and although slightly different in geometry it fits our cars perfectly. The redesign included new rubber formulation which is MUCH stronger and stiffer synthetic rubber material therefore so not to transmit vibrations, they reduced the amount of material used. Porsche had a revision in 2005 which made them last longer. Then in 2007 they offered the best iteration yet, the one for the Cayman S. They still offer a "lesser" mount for the Boxster, Boxster S and Cayman so make sure you buy the one for the Cayman S. Happy Boxstering Pedroby Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Main Forum
... the bearing, but the top-most support. They did revamp it with better rubber material, the same way they revamped the front engine mount in the Caymans. Porsche has never been known to supply quality plastic or rubber products. Look at the A/C foam, the plastic armrests, the radio buttons, the front motor mount, the upper strut support, etc., etc. Happy Boxstering, Pedroby Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Main Forum
... upper strut support. It's made from the same material as the front motor mount and will deteriorate with time. Unfortunately you'll have to compress the spring in order to swing the strut out, to be able to check it. While you're in there check, clean and grease the strut bearing. ... I'd like to see what other cars can try to keep up with a well-driven Boxster. I bet you that those that can keep up will cost at least the same, if not more than the Boxster. On a straightaway my grandmother can go fast. All it takes i=s a big engine and a heavy right foot. Where it gets tricky is: a) trying to stop it on a nickel (any car can stop on a dime). The window not dipping most likely is the micro switch in the door. If it doesn't work from neither the inside nor the outside it probably the window regulator. The vibration at speed sounds like the front tires need balancing. P0430 is a code referring to your catalytic converter. In my experience a cat never goes bad on its own. QuoteMikenOH I'd like think (fingers crossed ) that Marc and Pedro's experience with high mileage cars indicates that if they are driven and maintained a certain way--even with the smaller single row bearings--that these cars will hit 200k without a IMS "event". Also, most of the track pads don't have the holes for the sensors so you can't use them anyway. I had a lot of fun and was happy to have you as my student.
