You need something that holds the engine securely yet is non-intrusive. That's why I like the blocks of wood. Happy Boxstering, Pedroby Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Main Forum
... such as a pallet jack, the oil pan is strong enough, because it distributes the weight evenly throughout the whole oil pan. But it is NOT safe to put a jack (with a small area) under the oil pan to support the weight of the entire engine. I have seen several that have cracked that way. There's a strong point just in front of the oil pan that can take the weight of the engine on a jack. Happyby Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Main Forum

... all of those high-performance brake fluids are good. But I follow my own strict rule: Replace ALL the fluid before every DE. Since I run 10 DEs per year I look for the best bang-for-my-buck product which is ATE. I've never had brake fade following my rule. ... you are going to bend the seam and worst case your car can fall off the jack. You should ONLY put a jack under one of the four jacking points which are structurally made for this. The best way to put a car on 2 stands on the rear is: Place the jack under the right front jacking point and lift until you can place a jackstand under the right rear jacking point. So if you pull the skin off and find no damage to the underlying structural pieces, you should have no problem in repairing it. The idle control valve is easy to clean: Regarding the rubber fittings, make sure they are seated properly.
