Gotta say. WOW! When you first mentioned the project restoring you Boxster. I was sure you were going with orange for the repaint. But what you did was way better. Original colour, but I love the orange accents - seat accents, headlight surrounds, seatbelts, shifter surround, Wolfsburg Edition. Nice new top. Looks fantastic!. One question. Why Wolfsburg? Why not Stuttgart?by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
Pedro, I think you might have used the HTMLCodes instead of the BBCodes from ImgBB. So the pictures aren't resizing to fit in the frame.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
Hey Pedro, I can't wait to see your car after the total restore you did. I'm sure it's going to be a beauty, totally not looking like a 300,000+ mile car. You might find yourself getting in and thinking to yourself, "Only 2,000 miles 'till it's broken in."by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
It seems that not all the 2013 - 2015 Boxsters / Caymans are affected. Would there be different axle carriers for different options like PDK vs manual or suspension like standard vs X73 vs PASM? Do they have 2 or more suppliers for the same part? Just wondering.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum

For other Canadians. Here's the website page for the rear suspension issue: You can also check the Porsche Canada website with your VIN:by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
Thanks for the info Mike. So far, I haven't heard anything about it from Porsche Canada. So not sure if mine is/could be one of the cars affected.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
It might be an interesting question to ask Porsche USA. This past summer (2021), I spoke to the Sales manager at the Canadian dealership where I bought my Boxster. He said that despite the car shortage, Porsche does not allow them to sell cars for more than MSRP.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
So sorry to hear that you've been hit with this thing, Pedro. Wishing you a speedy recovery.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum

That is the way the oil measurement system works with my 981S. I find that the oil reading can change while driving - likely when it's close to the limit between two of the segments There is a lot more detail there than what's in the owners manual. One thing that I really found interesting is the amount of oil in the engine (10.6 qts, 10 liters) and the amount required for an oil changed (7.9 qtby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
Congratulations! Your car looks great. You've sure got great use out of your car.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
Looks like it's attached to the bottom of the oil pan. From the diagram, it would appear that each of the sections matches the segments in the display.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
Quotegrant .. i didn't test the "trunk open" lockout, since i had to drive the car to warm it up anyway. I did test it with the oil at 80, 100 and 120 degrees (F). No go. After opening the trunk, I find I have to drive 10 - 15 minutes before I get a reading. I also meant to mention earlier that my indy told me that when the oil almost stops draining, to wait about 10 minutes and suddenly, you gby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
Quotefrogster why on earth would opening the trunk affect the oil level reading? You might have added some oil while the trunk was opened. - At least I'm guessing that might be the reason.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
With my 981 (I know, not the same engine), I have my indy put in 7.5 liters of oil, which the manual calls for. It does take a while before oil level shows up any time you open the trunk. Once warmed up after an oil change, it usually shows a bit low I usually drive the car for a few days and find the level seems to go down a bit after after a few days of driving. I then top it up about 400 ml aby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
I've had the best results with Dr. ColorChip. Their kits will do an exact match for your car. I had it for my Arctic Silver and now for my GT Silver. I know of a few other people who've also had excellent resutls.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum

Good to hear that you were able to get gas. From what we're seeing in the news, things look pretty grim on the mainland. Puts things into perspective when you see an entire town (except for the roof tops) under water. That makes you thankful if everything is "just OK".. Tesla owners have had their "alleged" problems too. Seems the server was down and many couldn't unlock their cars with their phby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
Here's more info, pictures ..... and gulp, price. You'd think with those options, Porsche would be able to fit a manual as a $14,718 as one more box to check.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum

Yesterday a few of us had a chance to get out for a nice Colour drive. It was sunny most of the day, with temperatures getting up to around 50 F. Unfortunately, most of the colours were pretty much past their prime except for a couple of spots. Still, it was a great drive.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
