that light is not an oil level indicator. it's an oil pressure indicator. if it's on that means you have no oil pumping through the engine and you should not be running the engine at all, even idling. the engine can and will seize without lubrication and will be toast.by frogster - Main Forum
QuoteIndybox $108K here in Canada! for clarification, that is about $85k US.by frogster - Main Forum
that would be a pretty tall order! wishing everyone a healthy and prosperous 2021.by frogster - Main Forum
not a recommendation per se, just sharing my experience. resolution: i saw a garmin 45 on sale one day and grabbed it. it works perfectly well but if i had to buy one again, i would get as high a resolution as possible. mine is 1080p and it's nearly impossible to see license plate details. the image is great, but due to the wide angle, a license plate doesn't get many pixels. mounting: a littleby frogster - Main Forum
wow, great story. she sounds like a keeper. i never realized that midnight blue could have a tinge of purple in it. i had a friend with a cobalt blue boxster and that was really nice as well although just a touch light for my taste.by frogster - Main Forum
i was never in love with my ocean blue. too much red/purple in certain lighting conditions. this midnight blue is fantastic and i also love those wheels. how many miles on the car now? are you the original owner?by frogster - Main Forum
then i am very very jealous! merry christmas to you too pedro and to everyone here on the board. 2020 has been a rough year and it's nice to have a place like this to hang-out with friends at.by frogster - Main Forum

they probably looked okay on your preview because you have the rights to access them whereas others don't. PM me if i can be of any help.by frogster - Main Forum

i am not usually one to repeat supposed "facts" without verifying them or at least giving them a bit of thought. my wife was on a boat and they passed by this little island with a marker on it and she told me the guide said that it was the southernmost point. maybe it was the southernmost point of BC? in any case, what i said was totally incorrect and i feel foolish for saying it. thank you guysby frogster - Main Forum
vancouver is just a bit north of the 49th. we moved from vancouver to vancouver island 4 years ago and we are south of the 49th. the southernmost point of canada is not far from our house. kinda like that place down in the keys in florida being the southernmost point of the continental US. (i was wrong about this) Victoria is the capital of BC and it's on the island and is also south of the 49th.by frogster - Main Forum
i saw wizard of oz in a movie theater many, many years ago and it was the first time on the big screen. i had only seen it on standard definition, 640 x 480, television before that. probably hadn't seen it since very early '70s. i cried. that is an incredible movie considering it was made in 1939.by frogster - Main Forum
QuoteBoxsterra I had a nice metal-knob shifter and found it often got too hot to touch (parked car, top up). I eventually tired of having to wrap a towel around it to get started and took it out. and here we have it folks, the winning argument for why PDK is better!!!by frogster - Main Forum

don't wait. install the brake! otherwise it will be one of those nagging things that hangs over your head forever. i put a short shifter in my MY2000 boxster and loved it. maybe you should do that since it will spur you on to doing the brake handle.by frogster - Main Forum
i had a similar situation occur. a cop standing on the side of the road telling me to slow down with a similar gesture to what you describe. the only problem was that i was behind a big truck in a line of traffic going well below the speed limit! i can only assume that boxsters just looks like they're going fast no matter what, even when they're parked.by frogster - 10 years of PB
wow. absolutely gorgeous! congratulations. easily one of the nicest boxsters that i have ever seen. i am blown away. i see the calipers are black. the yellow of the pccb ones would look out of place on that otherwise monochromatic color scheme. i love the alcantara. i would have loved those seats in my 986 20 years ago but i wonder how much trouble i'd have getting in and out of them now that i'mby frogster - Main Forum
"Delete all logos and decals - naked butt and flanks" yes! that has often been the subject of heated debates on this board and ppbb; to go naked or not. i am very firmly in the go naked camp. i even went so far as to replace the wheel centers with plain ones, no logo. your boxster sounds absolutely amazing. the thing of dreams. wow. congratulations!by frogster - Main Forum
there seem to be a lot of people who are registered on pedro's board but have never posted. to those of you who are lurkers, now's the time to say hello! why not write a short post about yourself and your boxster in our 10 year celebration forum? it would be great to hear from you.by frogster - Main Forum
as a separate post from my boxster story, i would like to talk about the friendships i have made though pedro's board and from porsche pete's boxster board. i picked up my new boxster in june of 2000. i don't remember when it was that i found ppbb but i remember how much it meant to me. loads of people, mostly in the US, a few in canada, and a handful in europe. even a few in switzerland living nby frogster - 10 years of PB
