I've tried various combinations of changing the setting, logging in and out, checking the setting, clearing everything in my browser (Safari), booting, etc. to no avail. Lately the avatars won't turn off based on what I see in older posts, although right now I have a new, "contextual" one set to display. Originally all would have the an avatar or not based on my setting. My computer is an iMac wiby Laz - Board suggestions

Even with the factor of having changed a five year old battery, I think there's something drawing current other than the interior lights. Other, more technically knowledgeable people here could give you guidance as to how to check various circuits. Aside from what the actual problem is, don't worry if you open either trunk and not see its light turn off quickly: I think the default setting is forby Laz - Main Forum

I'll actually go out for a drive to help get the rain water up into places that would be missed by hosing. The longer it's been raining the better, and I try to avoid slushy puddles. The rain water will rinse out salt exactly from where slush, etc, has deposited it.by Laz - Main Forum
How many times do we drive in salt, then let the car sit for days in a relatively warm garage, perhaps? Every time that happens, many things under the car are under prolonged attack. I'm not too concerned with major aluminum castings getting a little corrosion, but all the liittle bits and pieces like fasteners, clamps, cables, electrical connectors (even if supposedly weather proof,) etc.by Laz - Main Forum

I would still try to hose off the bottom of the car, especially the suspension, wheels, hubs, and around the engine. There are all sorts of things that remain susceptible to salt damage. Ideally, drive the car even a few feet tapping the brakes to clear them, and keep the parking brake off afterward, assuming the car's parked on a level surface.by Laz - Main Forum

Try to keep a small, clean rag on the bumper while pulling out and reinserting the lamp assembly. Also, it can be a little tricky getting the lamp's pins back onto both tracks inside the fender, but be sure they do. If you hear a small snap sound as you bring the locking mechanism home it should be harmless.by Laz - Main Forum
