is a stretch Ferrari limo. Sell like gangbusters in last-year's China.by TheFarmer - Main Forum
Down here in the DC suburbs, all lanes are forever clogged. Someone is going 52mph in the right lane. Someone else is passing him at 55 in the middle lane, and someone else is passing him at 56 in the left lane. All three have bumper to bumper lines of people wanting to go faster. Staying right means that you will never get a chance to get out of that lane, and everyone knows it. So the bestby TheFarmer - Main Forum

Let's see - 7 cases of wine, 2 Newfoundlands, 2 horses: which goes where? 7 cases of wine - 987 2 Newfoundlands - Scion xD 2 Horses - behind Nissan Pathfinder. The wine capacity was greatly enhanced by the packaging into "pizza box" cases of 2 rows of 6 bottles... Since the Boxster is a Base model, I tried putting the trailer receiver into the tailpipe, but could not figure out how to get theby TheFarmer - Main Forum
The PDK makes the car FASTER. You want a track car -- to go as fast as you can... But you want a stick???? Forget it. If you want to feel good while driving, and feel back in touch with life in the past, and proud of your left foot, and proud of your ability to do what mere mortals can not, then stick with the stick. If you just want to go as frigging fast as you can in a car, get the equipmby TheFarmer - Main Forum

And I thought the Cipriani was in Venice (or actually Torcello in the lagoon...)by TheFarmer - Main Forum
My 05 Boxster came with Michelin Pilot Sports 2's and it has had fantastic grip in dry and wet conditions, so I have always replaced them with the same. If I had to scrimp on tires, I would first consider what kind of trash I was paying for on my TV or at some Seattle-based coffee store.by TheFarmer - Main Forum
The "excitement" will actually be the anxiety of wondering if your destination is in the same city or state as where it thinks you want to go ;-)by TheFarmer - Main Forum
I found that the Jawbone had only one problem - my Newfoundland puppy chewed it to bits one night. Noise cancellation was great, at least my girlfriend (who has now been my wife for 40 years) said so. I always had clear reception and miss it very much. The Jawbone had simple volume control just fine and clarity was excellent. I will probably get another.by TheFarmer - Main Forum
I've got an 05 Boxster with 85K miles on it (original to me). So what have I had to have done: air filters at regular service intervals, brake pads and rotors at regular service intervals, spark plugs, tires, gas, oil, filters, serpentine belt, etc. -- absolutely nothing that would be covered under an extended warranty, I would guess. I did have a convertible top cord replaced under factory wby TheFarmer - Main Forum

It's very hard. I would recommend Erdle Automotive in Laytonsville. They have done anything and everything.by TheFarmer - Main Forum
Configuring a 981 as close as I could to my 2005 987, I came up with $57,595, about 10K more than what I paid, a 20% increase over 7 years.by TheFarmer - Main Forum
I found that a set of winter tires and rims works great for the cold weather here in DC (yes it does get cold enough so the summer tires lose grip). I tend not to drive in snow and slush, but that is because of the salt solutions that they put on the roads that I would prefer to keep off the car. While I don't drive every day, it is the car I prefer to have on the back roads and on the beltway.by TheFarmer - Main Forum
I installed Pedro's on my 987. I like having some DRLs, but on the whole, these are not very bright, and I am not sure that anyone really sees them.by TheFarmer - Main Forum
Since I don't drive in the city canyons, I doubt that anyone but me would see those "gaps". It is, after all, a ragtop. Why add other junk to cover things that don't need covering? I doubt that those gaps are there when the top is up.by TheFarmer - Main Forum
When PCNA goes to that trouble, it is true testament to the hard work and ongoing engagement of the BRBS. While it can be hard to imagine another venue for PCNA to bring these cars to dedicated Boxster owners (until October(fest)), it is clear to me that all involved in all the years of BRBS should feel proud. Congratulations! Someday, horse sports will not take over May and June and I will mby TheFarmer - Main Forum
I have two symmetric 1" shiny spots on my top, completely symmetric right and left. I believe that these are due to the way the top folds and are actually rubs from the mechanism when the top is down.by TheFarmer - Main Forum
