Sounds like you've already had a chance to get some serious permagrin. Of course, you kow you're not officially here until we see pictures of your car. Feel free to ask if you need any help with that.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
Quotejwdbox Glad to see you and CURVEN8R out and about. Sounds like hot dog and doughnut runs are back on the agenda You know me all too well.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
Sunshine, 60 well above average degrees and topless Boxsters. We took our first drive after dehybernating the CURVEN8R yesterday. After getting an invite from Mike (I know you're lurking here ), we headed out for a drive to let our Boxsters stretch their legs. Told my wife that Pedro says to keep the revs up to help lubricate all the bearings. So she said that if Pedro says so, I'd better doby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
Quotejeff in VA Anybody have any tricks to stop the rattles and such that come from the windsreen and inserts in my rollbar? It's usually the windsreen that rattles. Not the rollbar inserts. With a passenger on board, have them gently press around the edges of the windscreen and see where it's rattling against the rollbar. You can use a bit of thin sticky-backed felt ( get it from a hobby or seby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
QuoteRuby Have the exact same ones and color script. Many complements to your good taste and enjoy. I guess that makes at least 2 people on this board with good taste. Hope you're already out and enjoying yours too.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum

Permagrin still firmly in place after finally being able to get the CURVEN8R out of hibernation, smog tested and running some "necessary" errands. So based on previous advice from board members, I decided to get the Lloyds Mats for the CURVEN8R's 5th birthday. Comfy. A couple of before and after pics. OEM mats. Lloyds Mats. Love them. ...and, I think they've reduced 0 - 60 time by 0.05by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum

Very nice looking car, one which you're obviously enjoying in many ways. I really appreciate the candor with which your wrote a pretty detailed description of your exerience and feeling about the car. I'm sure you'll really enjoy the next 2.7 years when it will be decision time again.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
- you're lucky enough to own a Boxster. - Spring comes and you get to take the cover off, disconnect it from life support adjust the tire pressure after 4 looooooooooong months - you climb in that first time ..ah, the seat, the shifter, the wheel, the controls still exactly where they should be on a sports car - left hand inserts the key and twists it clockwise - the engine fires up as thoughby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
You get in. You speak the name of your destination and it takes you there. No pushing a starter button, No turning a wheel No shifting No turning on headlights No signalling No stepping on brakes No watching where you're going No parking maneuvers Oh, wait. ...... We have those already ........... here in Canada ................They're called Taxies.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
QuoteRuby BTW, I'm back in Florida and it's been real warm! Sure rub it in. Still cold and windy. Warmer tomorrow but rain. Not sure if I'm every going to get my poor Boxster out this "Spring". Global warming - where art thou? Maybe I do have to find me a spot down there in Florida.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
I don't want an agressive, tailgating or eratic driver behind me. I'd rather get out of their way and have them in front of me. It gives me more control of the situation. Obviously, they don't have self control. I'm not going to spray MY car just to try to tick them off. I wasn't aware that flashing your headlights is illegal - at least to let a driver know that you're there. It might be in somby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum

My observations during our trip to Florida which took as down the eastern route I-90, 77, 85. Coming back was I-75. I guess I-75 is always under construction in Georgia. Best to avoid it. Least lane hogs Viginia, North Carolina and South Carolina, I only came up on one car hogging the left lane. It had an Ontario plate . Sure makes for pleasant driving when you're not forced to pass on the rigby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
Quotejwdbox Thanks Guenter! I would have liked to take some action shots of the drive but I was sans co-pilot for this trip. And I thought it was a bit far to ask you to come just after Florida Hey, if only I'd known. ....lets see Atlanta, to LV to Ontario. For a Boxster drive into Death Valley, it would have been worth the detour. It just would have taken a slightly heavier right foot.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
I've never experienced quite THAT many questions when headed into the US. Maybe I just have an innocent face. Quotefrogster sometimes the line going down to the US can be two-hours long since the US agents want to know where you're going, why, how long you're staying, what you do for a living, your zodiac sign, shoe size, blood type, favorite movie, etc. Multiply this by the thousands of peopleby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
Looked like a terrific time was had by all. LOVE all that sunshine and heat in the pictures. (holding my hands up to the screen to warm them up. ) What a great shot at the end. A spectacular end to a drive in a Boxster. OK, so I was going to say I was a little bit jealous. Not true. I LOT jealous is closer to the truth.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum

is all it took when crossing the board this afternoon. I timed it from the time we were called forward by the boarder guard to the time she told us we could leave. Just pulled up and gave her our passports. She asked us where we lived, the value of what we had bought and how long we were in the U.S. Just thought you'd like to know for that trip you're planning.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum

Hey Ed, You look way too happy. Nice pictures with all that green in all those pictures. That second one would look even better from the driver's seat of a Boxster. I know you guys in California are really lucky. Great scenery and Boxster roads ........sigh.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
Suggest you drive south for a week. It feels like summer here in Florida. Lots of Boxsters around and even saw a Boxster Spyder on the way down. I'm hoping to get mine out when I get back. Just hang in there, Doug. Soon ......soonby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
