It would be great if it is one of those options that can be turned on with software. I have the unlit icon visible on the speedometer. It appears that TPMS was optional 2005-2007. So, does anybody know if this is an option that can be "turned on"?by tom coughlin - Main Forum
I left my car at the shop where I had left a second key (with no remote). The next morning I got a call that they couldn't get into the car so I drove over and opened it with my remote key. Since then I've tried turning the key in the door lock and clicking the remote without luck. Has anybody found this issue and is there a fix (other than to replace the door lock which I assume is my lastby tom coughlin - Main Forum

More power than you can use (if there is such a thing) but fitment may require a bit of thought.by tom coughlin - Main Forum

Just be careful with sunscreen getting on the soft plastic "paint" in the cockpit. It can damage or remove this wonderful high-tech finish.by tom coughlin - Main Forum
With some luuck and work she should go. My guess is that you don't want to attempt to start until the old, bad gas is drained out. I'd change the oil too before just in case. These are just my gut feelings and free advice is worth what you pay for it. Getting that good mechanic in Burbank is probably a much better way to go. Good luck.by tom coughlin - Main Forum
I got my answer from a Porsche website and the answer is yes. The factory sells this width for winter tires.by tom coughlin - Main Forum
I think the rear offset for a 1999 normally is 45 but I have 60 mm offsets that worked fine on my '02 and hope to establish that they are OK to use on a 1999. Thanks, Tomby tom coughlin - Main Forum
I have had great luck touching up OEM wheels with the paint "Silberspray". It is a perfect match for the wheels and I was also able to repair a scratch on the inside door handle. Now I'm looking for a similarly perfect match for Sport Edition Cup 4 wheels. If you have found a spray paint that's a perfect match I'd love to hear about it. Tomby tom coughlin - Main Forum

I've had this 2005 6 weeks and several times when I've turned the ignition off and removed the key I was shocked to find the engine still running. Most of the time it shuts off as usual but this engine running after key removal has happened several times. Any thoughts, a fix or ????????? Thanks in advance, Tomby tom coughlin - Main Forum
Pedro: Next to the stem valves I have 7, 55 and 8.5, 50 on the winter wheels. Thanks, Tomby tom coughlin - Main Forum
I have a set of 2002 17" OEM wheels mounted with winter tires. I think they won't fit on the 2005 S without spacers. Does anybody know what spacers I will need to make the 2002 wheels fit on the 2005 S? Thanks, Tomby tom coughlin - Main Forum

Do you think there is one likely culprit or several? Tomby tom coughlin - Main Forum
Since it works OK, can I just program it to come on automatically each time I start the car? My manual is not with me so I can't look it up right now. Thanks in advance. Tomby tom coughlin - Main Forum
There is a waterproof box for the under seat computer. If your car is in the elements and thus exposed to the potential flood problem, this is something you should look at. Tom .by tom coughlin - Main Forum
As is so often the case, headlines don't tell the whole story! "Who knows – maybe by then even our iconic sports car, the 911, will be electric" Right, who knows?by tom coughlin - Main Forum
But they wash and vacuum the car at that price! Don't worry, I'll do it myself. When they saw the car with 90,000 miles and no service history since it was under warranty, they naturally offered the major belt service which of course I had done at an indy shop.by tom coughlin - Main Forum
Thanks folks. All of what you guys are telling me is exactly what I believe. Basically what they want to get me ready to replace the rotors next time the brakes are done. Agreed, but not for something like almost $3000 they are talking about. Tomby tom coughlin - Main Forum
It's an "02 with 90000 miles and driven in New England year round. No brake pulse when stopping, pads are fine and I have no problems or symptoms. I guess I'll have to do rotors at some time, but I was not aware that rust (not on the braking surface) is an issue. Is there any immediate risk of failure, or? Tomby tom coughlin - Main Forum
I'm no having much luck finding a replacement for my '02, but I'm very interested in doing just that. While I'd prefer a stick shift S, I will be flexible and can travel. Let me know what you've got. Tomby tom coughlin - Cars for Sale
I had early onset at 61 and have had both done with two years between them. They must have used different lenses since at night the headlights of oncoming cars appear different to each eye. One shows a soft fuzzy glow around the lights and the other shows it like a t.v. camera does with the light radiating out from the headlight in lines (which I have learned to live with). Personally, I will not buy a car I can not drive to enjoy the twisty roads! On the other hand, I won't mind letting the computer do it on the boring Interstates. .by tom coughlin - Main Forum

I know there was a CD/MD multiple CD magazine option that went in the frunk. If that 's correct, were all cars pre-wired for this option? What other options for multiple CD playing (rather than storing) work well? Thanks, Tomby tom coughlin - Main Forum
Getting Porsche history from MSN is like getting brain surgery from your family GP, who is most likely a great person but not a specialist.by tom coughlin - Main Forum
A radio with a CD player should be an easy thing to add. A fellow in TX parts out a lot of cars. Text him at 512-925-9171 and see if he has what you need. It's a really fun car as you've already found out.by tom coughlin - Main Forum
Of course it caught my eye right away. It appeared to be a white car, and the drivers compartment was intact so I hope anybody inside was OK.by tom coughlin - Main Forum
