Fabspeed totally failed me on install instructions for... well... any of it. But I figured it out! And it sounds incredible. I'll post some sound clips shortly, if anyone cares. Heading back to the dyno on Thursday to see what they added! Thought the bumper had to come off... and the taillights. Wrong on both counts. :-)by The Voxster ('03S, In-A-Band Jose) - Main Forum
Remap is just sitting in my garage waiting for the last of the physical mods to be completed. Evo is holding me up at this point with the cold air intake... grr. And thanks for the info!by The Voxster ('03S, In-A-Band Jose) - Main Forum

...my car threw a CEL on the way home from the dyno. Boxsterra tells me it's probably because the ECU has reached the limit of its ability to lean the mixture, thus causing the CEL. I got myself a Foxwell OBDII tool, and it would seem to confirm that, though there are various throttle position error codes in the code readout as well. Is that normal for a car with an upgreaded throttle body to mby The Voxster ('03S, In-A-Band Jose) - Main Forum
Just got my '03S off the dyno. Had to do a horsepower only run because their OBD sensor was not working properly and therefore could not gather RPM data for torque measurements, but it's still valuable information. The only mods that have been done on this car performance wise so far are the installation of an underdrive pulley, a 996 throttle body, and 997 plenum. No splitter in the plenum. Throttle body upgrade parts are... here. Just gotta find the time this week to get them in! IPD intake hose 996 3.6L 74mm throttle body 997.1 plenum Evo airbox is arriving today, too, so I was GONNA try and do both that and the TB at the same time. (Had to postpone installing my Fabspeed headers and exhaust at my buddy's garage because his '63 MGB expired on his lift. He ordered a new starby The Voxster ('03S, In-A-Band Jose) - Main Forum

... have superseded to a single part number that is the same as the US M030 springs? I ask because I called my local Porsche dealer to ask how much a set of rest-of-world springs will cost me, and he couldn't differentiate between rest of the world and US sport suspension springs. They appeared to be the same part number. Indeed, he couldn't even find any reference to a US sport suspension (vs Rby The Voxster ('03S, In-A-Band Jose) - Main Forum
Time to get cracking on more hacks for the Voxster! And it starts this week with the Pedro's Garage TechnoPulley. It's a replacement for the crankshaft pulley to get you a few more horses by not driving everything else on the serp belt so hard. This is the saw... Now it fits. Tolerance is tight! My advice would be to cut the near edge of that chunk just a mm or two closer to the block forby The Voxster ('03S, In-A-Band Jose) - Main Forum
If memory serves, it was a half inch drill bit. Bigger would be better. I know this because I didn't stop at just one hole per pipe, as the pic shows. I ended up with 2 or 3 in each exit hole. No, they are not drilled straight in, parallel to the pipe exit. You can see in the pics where the side of the long drill bit I used has contacted each outer exit tube lip and removed some material as a bby The Voxster ('03S, In-A-Band Jose) - Main Forum
...bought many products over time. - Painted bumperettes - Painted console - Short shift kit - Door plugs - Painted dash trim strips - Painted ignition surround ...and about to see if I can match a rare color on my new-to-me 1989 25th Anniversary 911 with a couple painted bumper plugs for the nose. BACK IN 2009: Way back in '09, I got a craving for more sound out of my factory exhaust and intake, so I desnorked, and then got drilling some holes into the final resonance chamber of the stock muffler, up through the tailpipe. The result was PERFECT... with that mod, she's been a little louder, a little beefier sounding, and a bit more aggressive (with a lovely howl at high RPM) without losingby The Voxster ('03S, In-A-Band Jose) - Main Forum
Hey guys! Just wondered your thoughts on the two different wheelsets I have. Leaving aside that the ride height is probably not what it should be for EITHER wheelset to look their best (currently US M030) and would look better with a ROW M030 upgrade either way... Which do you like better right now? 19" Work VS-KF ORRRRRRR The way it is now, with 18" 987 wheelsby The Voxster ('03S, In-A-Band Jose) - Main Forum
I bought one of the original TechnoTorque plenums, and it's been in my car for ages, but... I never did the throttle body upgrade to go with it. Will it fit that TT plenum? (Frankly, it's been so long that I can't even remember if I was ever successful at the intake tube install, either... this red and blue silicone thing is I think successfully installed now as well from a Boxster tech day at mby The Voxster ('03S, In-A-Band Jose) - Main Forum

I've spent the last little while geeking out on super-nerd detailing activities for both the Boxster and my new 911 recently, and when that happens, photo shoots must follow! Obviously. lol Some of these are posted on some FB Boxster groups right now, but Pedro encouraged me to post 'em here, so I do what I'm told by The Man! haha Hope you enjoy.by The Voxster ('03S, In-A-Band Jose) - Main Forum
