I may be in a position to sell my '99 Box in about six months. If that happens, I'm considering just selling the new/never installed ROW M030 kit that I have sitting in my garage. I bought these to install in my car, but they're worth more resold rather than installed in my car. If I do put them up for sale, I'll probably offer them up for $1,000 plus shipping. Local pick-up would be preferredby bar10dah - Main Forum
If anyone knows where I should send oil sample for testing, please post. But any reputable place can do it. www.blackstone-labs.net/by bar10dah - Main Forum
This will be my third in 70K miles. Can I use the Bentley method to re-pressurize, without buying that special tool I'll never use again? Are you sure about that? You're on your third waterpump. Just think, if you bought the AirLift for your first waterpump change, the subsequent two would be free usage!by bar10dah - Main Forum
A Child Seat Deactivator Bar must be installed, then the DME must be programmed to accept it. A Porsche dealer, or someone that owns a PIWIS or PST2 can do this. Not the Durametric. Then one of these can be trimmed to fit in the buckle correctly.by bar10dah - Main Forum

Recharge with a can of UV dye, then find the leak that's causing you having to recharge? Could be as simple as an o-ring. Hopefully... The compressor went out in my '93 GMC. Bad bearings. Firestone said $1,200 to replace it. I didn't even bother with the dealer, but expect them to be the same, if not more. I changed it out myself, along with the orifice tube and accumulator, for ~$350 iby bar10dah - Main Forum
...you've discovered so much free time! Looking to order the TechnoPower Kit after a few other mods. Sorry it won't be soon enough for you! Maybe a couple months.by bar10dah - Main Forum
I've got a few other maintenance items to take care of first. The first being the motor mount and water pump. The second being the ROW M030 install. After that, I'm ready for the TechnoPower Kit. I'm hoping to do the Pedro's Sport Exhaust in the next couple of weeks so that'll be good to go for the TechnoPower Kit. When I do get it, I'll have it tuned for the headers, but won't get the heby bar10dah - Main Forum
The VTX looks appealing. Thanks for the tip! Should the VTX headers and the Pedro's Sport Exhaust be enough for opening up the exhaust, as suggested for the TechnoPower Kit? Reference: *We recommend also installing headers and less restrictive exhaust for maximum HP and Torque gains.by bar10dah - Main Forum
Thanks for all the answers Pedro. Still haven't decided if I'll go with the 1.25" or 1.5" pipes, but I'll post pics of my Pedro Sport Exhaust when I get it done. Any particular (affordable) headers you recommend with the TechnoPower Kit and Pedro's Sport Exhaust?by bar10dah - Main Forum
The shop is saying 1.5" pipes would create quite a racket. Do you think it would be much louder than the 1.25"? If I do install the TechnoPower Kit, do I have to resend you the ECU, if/when I do install headers, to compensate for them?by bar10dah - Main Forum
Pedro, Went to local custom muffler shop with printout of DIY "Make the Pedro Sport Exhaust" in hand. Shop said if I brought them the muffler, they could do the work for $125-150. Seems reasonable enough? In your DIY, you said if you had to do it over again, you'd use 1.5" pipes. Why is that? Considering eventually doing the TechnoPower Kit. ...might I ask some advice on offsets? I have OEM 7.5 x 18 w/50 mm fronts and 9 x 18 w/52 mm rears. Another OEM 18" option for my '99 are 8 x 18 w/50 mm and 10 x 18 w/47 mm. The wheels I'm considering are 8 x 18 w/ 54 mm fronts and either 9 x 18 w/ 43 mm or 10 x 18 w/40 mm rears. Appears the new fronts will have 10 mm less inner clearance and extend the outside edges by 2 mm fromby bar10dah - Main Forum

Looks exactly like the roads in the video. Used to call it the "proving grounds" as it was only lightly traveled. So if you wanted to take your motorcycle to 170 MPH, you had plenty of room to move. Generally a dealer-sold MAF will last a looooooong time, while the aftermarket ones seem to have a much shorter life span. And something I wish I had read a month ago! On a recommendation from another forum, I bought this one for $90. Appears to be working as intended. But, according to your informant, may not last as long as an OEM Porsche marked one.by bar10dah - Main Forum

Replaced my AOS about 2 days and 30 miles ago. Took my j-tube off so I could to the throttle body cleaning. Noticed oil inside the tube, which I cleaned out when I replaced my AOS. Looked into the opening in the AOS and saw a puddle of oil right there on the inside of the lip of the opening. Normal? Or do I have problems?by bar10dah - Main Forum
Using Durametric, I can't hear anything operate/click/whatever when I activate the Fuel Evaporative Valve. Is this normal? Or did that part fail? Is "Fuel Evaporative Valve" just another way of saying "Purge Valve for Fuel Vapor Canister?" Mine's a '99 Box and I'm chasing a P0446 code .by bar10dah - Main Forum
