Looks like it may be a high end garage, kinda a cool idea for a floor design, but yeah, betting he would not be happy if one of those laps put him in a wall Other possibility: Getting divorced, and his wife is getting the house!by 986rgt - Main Forum
Castrol syntech oil 15W50? I can't seem to find anywhere that sells it in the 5 qt jugs, and it's way too expensive to get it in single qt jugs. I've tried autozone, Walmart, and advance auto, I'm in CT. Any suggestions would be helpful. Steveby 986rgt - Main Forum
Thanks everyone, the seat is great, it is really amazing how much this thing holds you in place. I wasn't really concerned about track time, as my car is mostly a toy at this point, don't have the time or cash for getting to the track! Frogster, yes, the seat still slides, if I bought the low man brackets from Brey Kraus, it would be stationary, but not sure if I'll go this course. All in all, i'by 986rgt - Main Forum
Thats for my wife, or the kids' car seats, none of which would enjoy or fit respectively in a GT3 seat, not to mention the cost! Steveby 986rgt - Main Forum
Loving the new seat, although I wish it sat just a tad shorter in the car, but I don't want to blow the cash for the BK floor mount option. Steveby 986rgt - Main Forum
Now all I need to get is some mounting bolts, fix a couple scuffs, and I'm gonna be sitting in GT3 heaven! Steveby 986rgt - Main Forum
It's been a long time since my car has seen rain, but I remember it being unflappable. Since the last time in rain, I've installed a new rear spoiler, and put some miles on the car. Couple weeks ago, I was at work, it started raining, and had to drive the car home in the rain. She was a handful, I thought it might have something to due with the cold temps, or maybe the wing, but upon crawling undby 986rgt - Main Forum
I'm really shocked that RUF could produce something so utterly bad. You really had to "stretch" to like original look in the first place, now you realllllllyyy have to "stretch"!by 986rgt - Main Forum
Wheels look great Pedro. Have you contemplated painting or vinyl wraping the windshield surround a similar color, I bet that would look pretty good too. quick MSPaint shop...by 986rgt - Main Forum
For anyone who wants a good movie to watch, it was excellent. Really cool to see footage from the less than recent years of F1. I would say the directors really left it to the movie watcher to decide the type of person Senna was. In some scenes, you will see him as the stand up, do no wrong guy, then next, you are left questioning what really went down with the way he drove, and thought. Very comby 986rgt - Main Forum
"Steve, are you saying hold the nut still with a box wrench (from underneath is the only sideways exposure), and then use the impact gun or driver (from above) to drive the shock top clockwise (therefore effectively loosening the nut counter-clockwise) ? I'm doing all this via the top mounting hole in the fender because I don't seem to be able to fold the whole shock tower out of the wheel well wby 986rgt - Main Forum
you can hold the nut with a box end wrench, then use an impact and a hex to break it free. You will then be able to undo it by hand with the wrench and an allen key. I am sure there is a special suspension tool for this, but If I remember correctly, this is what I did. Steveby 986rgt - Main Forum
Ok, so life has gotten a little hectic, and I've been a little lax in my duties as POTM forum moderator. Soooo, let's end the year right, and do a christmas or winter themed picture post. Form the entries we get in this post, I will pick the December POTM, and hopefully will be able to keep up with it this year(no new babies on the way anymore!). I'll even give everyone until Monday to get a pictby 986rgt - Main Forum
Pedro, does this include the sport seats? I thought for some reason Porsche did not offer this option if you ticked the box for the sport interior... Steveby 986rgt - Main Forum

Larry, The parking bulb is a separate bulb within the headlight unit. Check your manual and it will tell you how to release and remove the headlight unit. It is then as simple as removing the parking light bulb cover and swapping out the bulb. Then just follow the directions for re-inserting the headlight cluster. The big thing with this is making sure the cluster "clicks" when you re-insert it.by 986rgt - Main Forum
Is this the one you need to file down a bit of the block casting to get it to fit? How hard was the install?by 986rgt - Parts for Sale

On reliability versus a honda, can't really quite compare the two. Look at the HP Porsche can squeeze out of a 4.0L 6, think Honda could do that and keep the motors running to 200k? I very much doubt it. These cars are designed for performance, then reliability. Its a fine line the engineers must tread to come out with the best product possible, and it appears in some areas, IMS, RMS, they were aby 986rgt - Main Forum

She's up in the air if she wants to spent the extra $$$ for it over another basic car they have on the lot. Really hatin' my buddy right now!!! Guess that's what they get from being D.I.N.K. (duel income, no kids!), I hope she lets me take it for a spin...by 986rgt - Main Forum
My 2.5L STI was a BEAST, very little turbo lag, tons of torque, and a very flat power curve. I don't know why people think turbo cars are peaky? Once the turbo is at max spool, they are making close to full hp, wish I still had my dyno sheets from my STI...come to think of it, I wish I still had the STI!!!by 986rgt - Main Forum
Porsche said it was so your hand was not away from the wheel too long, made for quicker shifts when hands were on the wheel.by 986rgt - Main Forum
