WOW!!! Nice find and looks to be a great price. Enjoy!by Nashhorn - Main Forum
Really appreciate all the time/effort this reporting took. For my overview it looked like the 06 and 08 were great years, then the 08 began to slip last few years. And it looked like the 09 was running pretty bad stats till the latest example. Very interesting charts though. Thanksby Nashhorn - Main Forum
Wow, you went to a lot of trouble but obviously was worth it for you. I have to say my 05 seats were great - they were the all electric jobbers so capable of mucho adjustment.by Nashhorn - Main Forum
Very sorry to hear Marc. Went through similar with my Dad. Was tough cause he lasted so long while struggling so much. That's the reason my Boxster plates read ME'N'DAD. Best to you and the job search. Randalby Nashhorn - Main Forum
All I can say is my 05 S for the short two years I had it before that 'fool' pulled in front of me, was fabulous. Loved every minute behind the wheel - well except for that millisecond when the air bags deployed. Insurance company actually gave me more than I paid for it back in Dec 2009. Loved that car - hope to replace it with 09 or newer version to get the ventilated seats. Wife wants me to cby Nashhorn - Main Forum
Some fool decided he could beat all traffic and tried a U turn in front of me in the Box. Hit him so hard in right rear (almost missed him) tore off his bumper, then for good measure I guess, the guy behind on my right side hit him too. It happened so fast I do not know if he was really doing a U, or coming all the way across the street but because my first impression was I had braked hard enoughby Nashhorn - Main Forum
Thanks for the positive thoughts Marc. Took car out for an hour or so today, been probably 8-9 days and felt great. Everytime I get in that car I remember just how much I enjoy it. Work has been a real bugger last 6 weeks so time with car has been a cherished reward the few minutes I can get. I am going to take your suggestion and remove filter and check for any metal - more or less than last timby Nashhorn - Main Forum
Thanks all. This actually occurred a few months back. After stewing over it and wondering what to do, if anything, (don't know why I did not think to put on the board then, probably afraid) I just started driving car again. Haven't noticed anything but I could never be called one who really puts the car through its paces by any stretch. I can say no smoke, and no leaks. Think I will take filter iby Nashhorn - Main Forum
So I finally examined the oil filter closely and see some tiny metal hair like particles. Maybe 1/4 inch - 3mm in length and thinner than a human hair - very hard to see, on maybe two three filter ripples. This is off my 2005 S with 40,000mi. Love the car, scared about what this might mean after reading this board on all the 'issues'. Bought the car in Nashville Dec 2009 and have put almost 10,00by Nashhorn - Main Forum
Hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine - 05 S Black on black. I bought Dec 26th 2009 with 32,600 mi from dealer in Nash. Changed oil at 6 months - just because wanted to - and did the side marker flasher hack - that's it. Have put 7,000 miles on it and keeping the Permagrin. Every time I get in it don't wanna get out. Think I'll change the oil again and maybe stay on a 6 mo schedule. Anyonby Nashhorn - Main Forum
