.....neither was very inconvenient. One happened a block away from home at 6K miles. The other about 10 miles from home at 62K miles.by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
Also to CarreraLicious I AM back in the fold. Yes, my Cayman was very reasonably priced.by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
I'm baffled with the red reflections too, as they only appeared when uploaded to host.by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
....Here is where I am theses days. I've had this over 5 years and think it's the best all around Porsche ever, but I may be prejudiced.by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
had an Anniversary Edition Boxster S '04. IMS failed. Nissan 350 Z followed then a Mustang Bullitt. Over 5 years ago I got back to Porsche with and '08 Cayman. Best car I ever owned even with 88K on it when purchased.by dennisafrompa - Main Forum

Hey Pedro just saw you in a Real Estate TV commercial, right?by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
They are Starke SC18s from Tire Rack. A little heavy but have proven to be durable.by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
Thought i'd let all know I'm still on this side of the grass and have returned to the P-cars. I've put 30K miles on it since purchased and it now has 120K. Only issue has been a variocam sensor. Original clutch, shifter cables, water pump and AOS. Added Faux Fuchs wheels. .by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
...and mine was a KC-135 tanker that Gary may have needed on one of the many refueling tracks called anchors over Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. Reflecting on Veterans Day.by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
I'm impressed. My '08 Cayman has 111,000 miles on it and has it's original clutch, AOS and water pump, so I guess I should get ready for those issues sometimes soon. I like cars that are used and the people the drive them.by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
Thanks Boxsterra but mystery has been solved. See my post.by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
....zip tie to the rescue. Noise gone, I'm happy.by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
Yes I've had that before but that noise was more a steady screech and Of course I can't duplicate when I manually spin jacked up rear end.by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
Not without an issue though: After wheels were mounted I drove around to reset TPMS and was successful, speeded up to 90 mph on the run. Got the car washed then parked in garage. When going down the alley the next day I heard a noise kind like something metallic was rubbing on each wheel revolution and continued till it was drowned out by exhaust traffic and wind noise. I jacked up the rear, whiby dennisafrompa - Main Forum
Oh no. Don't expect me to ride in that as i don't have any plastic pants, white shoes nor a white belt.by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
They already bought back my VW diesel. Will they buy back my Cayman.by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
Well, they had a history of flat 4 engines that were winning before the flat six. I'm old enough to remember that.by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
My Cayman may only have 250K on it by then and I'll be a creaky 88, so maybe I don't care.by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
I'm guessing my Cayman was one of the last 987.1 2.7s made. It's build date was 11 DEC 2008. It was placed onto service in mid-JAN of 2009. It was a lightly optioned car that sticked for just a tick over $53K. The 18' S wheels were a good selection. I bought it in 2015 and have put 25K miles on it since then.by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
....as well as the readily accessible one in the rear trunk?by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
Thanks Pedro, I have an appointment with an indy shop tomorrow.by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
Looks like it's been leaking for about a week or so based on the marks on the garage concrete. Had to add about a quart to get it up to MAX. The drip is just behind the front wheel well about where the door begins on the driver's (left) side. The car has 105,000 miles on it, 19K of which I've put on it in my 2 years of ownership, celebrated this week. I've had no other issues although I did reby dennisafrompa - Main Forum
There is no substitute? After a short test drive in my Cayman, I realized I'd forgotten what a Porsche feels like to drive. After a 7 year hiatus I was again hooked. I've been enjoying the last 2 years driving it rain, shine and snow. I have Winter tires and rarely let weather stop me.by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
I've been around since March of '99. 3 Boasters, one 350Z, one Mustang Bullitt and a 2008 Cayman later, we're still here.by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
....as long as we're checking in. Anyway, maybe Mer has a flat six Outback, they are available.by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
Hello Kevin. The other Dennis says hi too.by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
Why not make a woody 911 cab too, just like a '48 Chrysler? I'm sure all the "collectors" will take the bait.by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
Funny that using them correctly results in no issues. How about that?by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
