The situation before changing the O2 sensor is the engine is working fine, but there is alarm code with O2 sensor. I buy a universal O2 sensor and put the same color wire with the plug and put it on the car, then the engine can not start immediately. I take out the O2 sensor, also engine not start, but crank. I have a Porsche 986, with 2.5L automatic gear. When I replace the Oxygen Sensor with other brand, the engine can not start. After the repair shop test, they told me it is DME damaged. Then I bought a DME from a used car, but it also not work, then the expert told me there must be a matched DME and CLU and key together then it can work.
