that's right but someday I'll be yesbox .. until then I still got my damn hat. Thanks Pedro for keeping the board alive, the gratis advice etc.by nobox - Main Forum
Marc, I frequent this site but have never owned a Boxster. You're one of the reasons I do that. All to say, hope you too hang around .. no Boxster needed.by nobox - Main Forum
He was the hub of a great community. You didn't have to own a Boxster (as I do not) to appreciate that. Just bring your love of cars and enjoy. I'm thankful he founded the original site and equally thankful Pedro has kept it on the track.by nobox - Main Forum
what's it replacing? think I recall a 370z and a Mustang filling part of the gapby nobox - Main Forum
I get my Dennis's mixed up. Is this engine-explosion (pardon my French) Dennis?by nobox - Main Forum
Yes, if you went fast enough in the 914 not even rain would touch you, which is why it was good to be doing that in wide-open TX. Maybe I should have conditioned the question further by adding .. the significant other is in the car, she's fond of creature comforts and you've made the mistake of showing her how to raise the top.by nobox - Main Forum
I realize being 'warm' is a subjective thing (as is whether someone has departed reality) but for top down driving, windows up (I guess) how is the Box pax comfort for driving with evening OATs in the 40s? ... 50s?by nobox - Main Forum
.. and green is a sneaky color. Easy to lose on the infield background I'm sure. And a full roll cage. What, does that mean the stock car wouldn't have saved me back in 77? Would be fun to drive Foster's car. Of course Porsche toned the original 914 down so it wouldn't compete with the 911 (ha ha). Thanks for the vids.by nobox - Main Forum
that was a nice looking modded 914. slicks and all. can't say that's the norm for most 914 plastic surgery. i'd like to say more about the car but it, ahh, blew by youuuuuuu (! yuk yuk).by nobox - Main Forum
high HP blowbys .. and that 914 early in the Black video. that wasn't an old 1.8 in the mid compartmentby nobox - Main Forum
The only Porsche site I check daily. Thanks Pedroby nobox - Main Forum
Hmm .. that wouldn't happen to have been you driving south on the Memorial Bridge the other day was it? Was on a run .. heading back into DC when I caught this very sharp blue Boxster coming my direction. That color really stands out (nicely).by nobox - Main Forum
.. or something.by nobox - Main Forum
Yup, but I think that Cayman GT4 was made for yellow. Not many cars are.by nobox - Main Forum
rather than turbo 4s in the Box, i'd like to see what they could do with that car e-wise. regardless, the real question is ... will Bose make the speakers for the fake engine sound..by nobox - Main Forum
Someone below was looking for some used tires?by nobox - Main Forum
Yup, those Sirius radio setups are weird to me. Not sure what the allure is. I've followed the turbo4 discussions. Drove a Golf GTI stick (i think it had the PP .. may as well drive everything) and the thing could scoot. Imagine Porsche could have a lot of fun with that engine.by nobox - Main Forum
thanks. i've visited this site (and it's prior site before it ..) many times (enjoyed some great/funny watch, torque, oil and nitro discussions) and, thanks to you all, think i'm fairly well versed in the car, its options, S v. non-S, etc. i didn't want to order which is why i was wondering if dealers expected more cars for '15. it is interesting how dealers configure these.by nobox - Main Forum
Thanks db. I'm in DC as well and understand. I've factored some kind of haircut into the MSRPs I see. Haven't bought a new car in probably 20 years .. apologize if some of my questions seem uninformed.by nobox - Main Forum
yup and about 130 with sticks (sign of the times) the price ceiling i had narrowed it further thanksby nobox - Main Forum
thanks. saw many new ones via cars.com but nothing i would necessarily bite at. i'll keep my eye open.by nobox - Main Forum
Keep on drving life like you stole it .. I agree with SteveJ, I'm sure they'd wish that for you.by nobox - Main Forum
If you'd asked your mom to take you to a Ducati dealership .. what would she have said? Liked the note about enoughpower to not get you thrown in jail ..especially given all the car news about the new Shelby Mustang and Hellcat. We're back to fighter design from the 50s .. more metal? no problem, I've got a bigger engine and maybe some rockets to get you moving. Don't ask about turning.by nobox - Main Forum
Never thought of that. Too bad she bounced off at 40 (kidding). God love her, she looks much the same today save the hair. Pedro's right about that color although I don't know that it would work today. That's a lot of orange for today's bigger Porsches.by nobox - Main Forum
Flushing the lurkers, eh? Good idea for a topic. I'm 'nobox' cause I got no Boxster but have followed the forum for years (including brand x). Great community and nice break from any day. But the Boxster's always been appealing (save for bucks) as, like many here, I started with a Porsche (after some brief time with a Biscayne in high school). And there's no Porsche (real or otherwise) to stby nobox - Main Forum
Marc, I've read many of your posts over the years and the thing that always stood out was how much you went out of your way to advise others. Even follow up posts. Your generosity here and I'm sure elsewhere is a nice tribure to your parents. Sorry for your loss and your mom's illness. You're a good son.by nobox - Main Forum
That was a great forum to visit .. fine community, even for those of us without a Boxster. This site is a nice testament to Chuck. Thanks Pedro (and others) for that.by nobox - Main Forum
