I think I might have discovered the answer myself. Relay support #2 is on the far right of the trunk, underneatt the trunk liner. #3 is in the center rear on the firewall, and #1 appears to be underneath the drivers dash. it appears to be quite involved to get the lower dash panel off. I hope I never have to change the signal light flasher.by matsporsche - Main Forum
Could someone tell me where relay supports 1 & 2 are located on a porsche 981? I found #3 in rear trunk. Also,a diagram of the relays and their purpose?by matsporsche - Main Forum
I got the hose off by just pulling. Tried to install new one, but couldn't get it on the master cylinder, and ended up destroying it. I had some old fuel line, and I got it on and it works fine. Is there any danger that brake fluid could damage this hose? I have a piece of this line soaking in brake fluid, and so far it's fine.by matsporsche - Main Forum
I noticed that my driver's door panel was lifting at the rear, like your photo. I stuck it down with hot glue from the outside, after removing that little plastic cover. Still holding. Hope it stays. Here in Canada, it never gets really hot or humid, so hopefully its O.K.by matsporsche - Main Forum
I fixed it, and the problem was my stupidity. I knocked out a fuse while I was working on the car, but I didn't know where it came from. It turns out it was for Homelink. After I replaced the fuse where it belonged, Homelink worked fine. I didn't even need to reprogram it. Thanks for replying anyway.by matsporsche - Main Forum
I just changer my battery, and now I can't program Homelink for my garage opener. I tried holding the 1 and 111 buttons down, but no light flash. Same if I hold the 1 down. Did I miss a step? Am I missing something? Any ideas Pedro? My car is a 2013 Boxster base.by matsporsche - Main Forum
Pedro, any ideas that might help me?by matsporsche - Main Forum
.I think you are referring to the hose to the slave cylinder. I'm referring to the short one going to the master cylinder under the dash.by matsporsche - Main Forum
Pedro, any ideas about this?by matsporsche - Main Forum
Has anyone changed the hose from the fluid reservoir to the clutch master cylinder on a porsche 981? Does it just pull off, or is there a clip to release it?by matsporsche - Main Forum
Now that I've done it, I hope I never have to do it again. Not fun!by matsporsche - Main Forum
Well, I got bold and accessed my engine bay. It's not nearly as easy as previous models, but if you're interested, here goes. First, put your top in the service position. If you don't know how to do that, it's a little more involved than previous models too, and I'll go over that after this. Remove the carpeted liner from the back of the cabin. You will need this off to reach the top 4 screwsby matsporsche - Main Forum
I just discovered how to easily check coolant freezing point. The little insert with the float pops out easily with a small screwdriver. The coolant is easily reached by the tester under it.by matsporsche - Main Forum
I have added some water. I guess I'll just have to leave it up to the mechanic to check the antifreeze, unless I learn how to access the engine bay. What type of antifreeze should I use? The pink kind, or the green? It doesn't get very cold here on Vancouver Island, anyway. Have you ever accessed the engine bay on your car? I'd sure like to know how to remove the bay liner, and how to put itby matsporsche - Main Forum
Something important in Canada-how do you check the freezing point of the coolant without accessing the engine bay? The hose on my tester is too short to reach the reservoir. Any suggestions? Nobody has yet told me how to get the engine compartment liner out, and it appears access is now much more difficult than before. Actually, after just trying it, I can't even get my tester into the pipe tby matsporsche - Main Forum
The Spyder helps, but he doesn't show how to put the liner back, which I found very difficult. The rubber retainer is very stiff. He said the Boxster S was much more difficult. I suspect I might have to get the roll-bar trim off, if I knew how. Thanks for this info, though. The Cayman looks much easier. If you find any more videos, I'd sure appreciate seeing them.by matsporsche - Main Forum
It's a dark blue base. Only options are metallic paint, and dual-zone AC. I only bought that to get the wind stop. Car is so well-equipped that I didn't need anything else. Only one warranty repair so far-High pressure fuel pump failed. Victoria Porsche Centre was very good. Flat-bedded car to Victoria, and brought it back to me. Love the car! It's a 2013, and I've had since November of 2by matsporsche - Main Forum
I watched that video, and it's good, except for the one thing I need to know. I can get the top in the service position, but there is a liner over the engine bay that I need to remove. I don't know how to do this, and more importantly, how to put it back. I took a little of it off, and getting it back under the rubber trim around the top was really difficult. I know I only need to access theby matsporsche - Main Forum
Does anyone know how to access the top of the engine bay on a Porsche 981 Boxster? I know how to get the top in the service position, but I don't know how to get the fabric liner out, and worse, how to put it back under the rubber strip at the top. Pedro, maybe you could make instructions for this, along with photos, like the one you did for the previous model.by matsporsche - Main Forum
