It's even worse! The 718 gives you only 2/3 instead of 3/4by joris - Main Forum
Hi Howard, I enjoyed the ride! Thanks for sharing. Good luck with your PCM.by joris - Main Forum
In my 2016 Boxster manual the cryptic sentence "The Tire Pressure Monitoring takes this ..... into account" has disappeared .by joris - Main Forum

About a month ago I took delivery of my new 981S. After 3000 km I want to let you know that I’m very happy with it. Especially the electric assisted steering is perfect IMO. It is precise and direct and it filters out uninformative high frequency information from the road. It replaces my 6 years old (96000 km) 987.2. That was in excellent condition, but to be sure to be able to enjoy a Boxsterby joris - Main Forum
As far as I know my dealer had no problem to allocate my order. But I'm in the Netherlands and the situation here may be different from that in the US.by joris - Main Forum
To make sure that I can enjoy the symphony in flat six for many years to come I ordered a new S, delivery Oct/Nov 2015. My 987.2 (June 2009, 95k km) is in perfect state, but I expect the new S to serve me six more years than my current 987by joris - Main Forum
Again my sincere condoleances Marc. It's a comforting thought to know that your parents were allowed to stay together even in the end. I wish you strength to bear the loss. Jorisby joris - Main Forum

it wouldn't surprise me if he is not to worried about the life span of the battery, which IMO will be shortened by very frequent start cycles. I agree with you about feeling happier by disabling the start/stop, I think I wouldn't use it.by joris - Main Forum

I own two, a small one which I have not used for years and a bigger one (40-210 Nm = 30-150 Ft.lb.), which I use twice a year for swapping summer- and winter wheels. I never had them calibrated.by joris - Main Forum
The gain would be the ability to better control the coolant temperature and to let other parameters than rpm such as fuel consumption, engine temperature and air temperature influence the pump output. May be you are right that these advantages do not outweigh the price in added weight. I was triggered by the apparent need for an underdrive pulley in this thread, but it might be wiser to better coby joris - Main Forum

I didn't mean "burn", but just one with a little bit more play. OTOH one wouldn't expect the sound of a fuel injector change by adding some oil.by joris - Main Forum
I've got my 2009 S with 9A1 engine now for 4 years and 77000 km, and I remember going back to the dealer short after delivery to complain about, what I thought was, valve noise. They convinced me however that the noise originated in the fuel injectors, as Mark posted yesterday. BTW the engine has been running trouble free all that time and I never had to top it up with oil, always perfect on theby joris - Main Forum
Yes, I agree with you that you want to be absolutely sure about plenty of room when passing on a two-lane road. Nevertheless, although this road (N75 in France), which I know very well since I drive it every summer, has a speed limit of 90 kph, it often happens that an oncoming car surpasses this limit considerably, say for instance with 30kph. In passing also add some speed to be as short as posby joris - Main Forum

Good point. I will try to find a German version of the manual and see if that clears the confusion. Your reasoning about the need of a real downshift to be necessary to get an upshift again at the redline sounds plausible to me. I always upshift by flicking the steering wheel button, but very rarely, when I really need the maximum acceleration, one must go close to the redline to get maximum pby joris - Main Forum
The text in my Dutch MY2009 manual is a true translation of your English MY 2010 text. That manual is available on Porsche.com and after the part that you quoted there is also the paragraph: In order to shift up automatically at the upper engine speed limit: > Depress the accelerator pedal beyond the full throttle point (kickdown). I don’t know whether a real kickdown has to be occurred toby joris - Main Forum
The pdk refuses to downshift to a gear which will cause the engine to surpass the redline. I didn't test that feature but I rely on it until I find out otherwise.by joris - Main Forum
