I remember the feeling of buying my first Porsche a 98 which I loved. Then came the comments that the Boxster was a ladies Porsche (not there is anything wrong with a woman driving a Porsche boxster )...well as it has evolved and my new one just arrived ..... bring it on ladies ( or gentlemen)by sdm100 - Main Forum

Having sold my first Porsche (98 Boxster) I had missed that car tremendously even though my 996TT is fast it never handled like the Boxster. Luckily got a build spot and will take possession of this next week. Cant wait to drive it. Glad to be backby sdm100 - Main Forum
Had left the board for awhile sold my first Porsche my 98 Boxster to a good friend so I get to visit. Was running a 78 911SC for the track but wanted more power so sold it to another Porsche guy who was where I was 4 years ago when I started. then the perfect track car came around my new 2009 Cayman S with PDK. Only 24 K milesby sdm100 - Main Forum

Finally sold my 98 Boxster. Was a difficult decision but cant keep every car. Have followed the board since I got the car and want to thank all for their input and help with mods which the new owner will greatly benefit from. A big shout out to Maurice who over the years was more than patient when we got together in CT and who's knowledge was invaluable. He and Cynthia were always a pleasure to sby sdm100 - Main Forum

I agree unfortunatley a ladder accident with compound fracture took some time before I could drive a stick, now I drive it except for winters in RI !by sdm100 - Main Forum
Besides regualar maintenance, oil changes a front seal repair and mods with help from the board this 98 car still makes me smile. Shifts better now than everby sdm100 - Main Forum
Ive been really good replacing my coolant in my 98 986 doing it every 5 years and was wondering on my next try if I should go with waterless coolant. looks impressive high boiling point and supposedly less corrosive. The price point is close to what one would pay for Porsche's coolant. Anyone have any experience or insight?by sdm100 - Main Forum

bought the 78"911 as a track car got a steal and for a 34 yr old car and it performed flawlessly at NHMS. Even passed the turbos and later model 911's. Out of my green group at the DE's yellow here I comeby sdm100 - Main Forum
With the recent news of the passing of the father of the 911 and 904, PCA members will honor F.A. Porsche by displaying a black ribbon across the Porsche logo on their cherished vehicles. They will maintain this display until the 2012 Porsche Parade in July. At Parade, PCA members will celebrate the iconic cars which have evolved from Mr. Porsche original designs.by sdm100 - Main Forum
In putting my 98 away for the winter heard a loud noise from rear lasted about 10 sec then disappeared. Car is low mileage but with annual oil changes with about 3k per spring and summer driving. Nothing seems loose and last spring no metal note in oil filter. Question is this harbinger of IMS shaft bearing failure and should prophylactic do the double bearing upgrade? No oil leak noted nothing aby sdm100 - Main Forum
When I am driving my 993 I really don't give a damn about world peace only may own. Sorry but when you are immersed in this amazing automobile everything else is trivialby sdm100 - Main Forum
New aftermarket stereo is the only aftermarket item. Took it to them and they said no drain on the system. The device you mentioned that would not involve disconnecting the battery...name?/source?by sdm100 - Main Forum
So how can one identify if one has an excessive drain source on the battery?by sdm100 - Main Forum
After having done 3 DE's this summer got the bug to go for a dedicated track car. With lots of toys for sale picked up a 1978 911 with about 30K in mods engine and tranny rebuild. The Mopar blue is not my cup of tea so a color change might be in order. New seats and Belts are the only things needed. or 10K including a second set of racing wheels think this was a steal. Cant wait for next springby sdm100 - Main Forum
