It’s up on the US site too. My spec, with European delivery of course, came in at $102k, and changeby Paralizer - Main Forum
QuoteBoxsterra to turn on and off the sensor so that the light doesn't flash. So sometimes the light stays on after sensors are replaced. But if it doesn't go off eventually then likely one of the sensors is bad or not properly connected. The circuit just measures continuity, which you can do yourself with a continuity tester on each wheel to narrow down the problem. You don't even have to removeby Paralizer - Main Forum
QuoteBoxsterra When the pad wears down to the sensor wire, the wire wears down. Before the wire is worn all the way through the brake wear light may come on and go off intermittently. To fix it you can either solder the wire back together or replace the sensor. The sensors aren't very expensive and are easy to replace. Yeah my friend installed new sensors yesterday and it’s still throwing thby Paralizer - Main Forum
Recently a friend changed out my worn brake pads. He didn’t get the brake wear sensors at that time. He received them the other day and I went over to get the old ones pulled our and new ones in. The sensors plugged in with no problem and the other portion inserted into the pad opening. When I first restarted the car all looked good but as soon as I released the e-brake the brake wear sensor trby Paralizer - Main Forum
Hey a little levity is what we all need these days, but I digress. A friend of mine put in a new set of brakes on my trusty steed recently while I was out of the country. He sent me this picture of the rubber that surrounds the struts on my 06, PASM equipped, 987S. Is it possible to just replace the rubber surrounds or will I need to swap out the entire strut? I don’t notice any degradation inby Paralizer - Main Forum
154k smiles and counting here. My faithful steed is only 16 years old.by Paralizer - Main Forum
QuoteMikenOH Now if they can just do the right thing and put a flat 6 in the base and S models, all will be right with this platform. Sadly I don’t anticipate that mainly because of the new EU emissions regulations.by Paralizer - Main Forum
Well I guess some of the sales numbers, or lack thereof, resulted in a change.by Paralizer - Main Forum
Karma, it rocks!!! And yet another reason I will only own cars with 3 pedals.by Paralizer - Main Forum
QuotePedro (Odessa, FL) Happy Boxstering Pedro I would think that the spoiler deploying would be a problem with that one. Does it actually clear?by Paralizer - Main Forum
QuoteBoxsterra Bike attachment sold separately Unfortunately that only works with the Cayman. The spoiler and rear exhaust center exit are the problems.by Paralizer - Main Forum
For you cyclists on the board...has anyone come across a bike rack that will work on a 987? All the ones I see look like the spoiler would interfere with the straps. If you know of a workable solution please advise.by Paralizer - Main Forum
I have the manual sports seats plus in my 06 987S. The height adjuster no longer works. It feels like there’s a broken gear in the handle. Anyone ever have this problem and is there a “easy” solution?by Paralizer - Main Forum
Damn, I better hurry. Those 1980 Boxster’s are very rare and I’m sure this one is a collectible.by Paralizer - Main Forum
QuoteJMstamford,ct I know few people who cross shop the two cars. If you want a Vette, it is like a battle axe. A Boxster is more like a cavalry saber. I doubt that will change. With prior generations of Corvette’s I would agree. But, and with GM’a history it’s definitely a big but, this new midengine Vette could have an impact. It has a whole new suspension configuration and significantby Paralizer - Main Forum
I bought a new car, and it wasn’t a Boxster. Several months ago I came ohhhh so close to pulling the trigger on a CPO 981GTS 6 speed in sapphire blue. At the last moment, and for a variety of reasons, I didn’t go forward. Now, several months later I’ve taken delivery of a ‘19 Mazda MX5 30th anniversary edition. It’s my 5th Miata and it is unlike any I’ve had before. The interior is stby Paralizer - Main Forum
Well I know what car to look for in 5-7 years when it drops into my price range...hopefully. That said should be real interesting to see what happens to 981 GT4/Spyder prices.by Paralizer - Main Forum
Thanks for all the input. Gives me some ideas to where to look.by Paralizer - Main Forum
Thanks for the responses. No codes thrown and car has 151k miles.by Paralizer - Main Forum
Lately I’ve been having intermittent long, several seconds, cranking issues. Today after one of these episodes my idle wouldn’t go back to the 700 rpm range and stayed around 1000 rpm’s. Looking for thoughts as to what might be going on.by Paralizer - Main Forum
Yeah I’m pretty happy. I definitely thought long and hard before pulling the trigger. The car does not have the X73, just PASM. And the original owner already put Xpel on the car. I’m already planning to replace the amber markers with clear and I’m having the dealer install a backup camera tied to the PCM. Don’t want any damage to that wonderful rear end. Heres the original build sheet. Oby Paralizer - Main Forum
Well after much MUCH internal debate I made a decision. I really like Miatas, and think the 30th AE Mazda is realeasing is very nice, but I’ve been lusting for a 981 GTS for several years. So I put a deposit down and will be the new owner of a 2105 GTS, 6 speed in sapphire blue. The only option it doesn’t have that I would have spec’d is PTV. It’ll probably be 3-4 weeks til I get it as itby Paralizer - Main Forum
Looking for some bright news, at least it's not a total write off. I thought the damage was part of the unibody but, as is not the first time, I was wrong.by Paralizer - Main Forum
Go to 4:45. Hopefully Porsche will step up on this.by Paralizer - Main Forum
Well just to make it interesting I received a PM from another member who is also eyeballing this GTS.by Paralizer - Main Forum
Okay need some input from the “wisdom” of the board. My trusty ‘06 987 has 151k mile on it and I have no intention of getting rid of it. That said it does have 151k miles and looking forward I’d like to have another fun car for daily duties and a several month road trip I’m planning in the next couple of years. I’ve always been a Miata fan, have owned 4 including a ‘04 Mazdaspeed thby Paralizer - Main Forum
The battery in my key is starting to show signs of failing. I can’t recall if you switch the battery do you have to recode both keys? Thanks in advance.by Paralizer - Main Forum
I have an 06 S with 151k miles. This has been, knock on wood, one of the best cars I’ve ever owned, it is by far my favorite. I’ve gone through several sets of tires, one full set of rotors, 2 sets of brake pads, and a water pump. I think my water pump is about to crap out again, my top needs replaced, and the driver’s side floor mat has a hole in it. Apparently I rest my foot in the same sby Paralizer - Main Forum
12 years and 151k, still get a thrill every time I hear that flat 6 wind out. Now I just need to get that top replaced...oops that's for a different thread.by Paralizer - Main Forum
