It's a gorgeous day here in Southern Ontario. The trees are starting to change and today it's up to a balmy 65 F, so I took advantage of the sunshine in hunt of some more Fall scenery.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
I'm guessing the paint will be "match to sample" since you wouldn't want the exterior clashing with the seatbelts.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
OK, so it's Sunday. We got out for a drive north of here into the Georgian Bay area where the leaves are starting to turn. It was pretty overcast with the occasional leaky cloud, but managed to drive the whole thing with the top down. That's always a bonus. Here with a few signs that bring joy to a Porsche driver.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
Good to hear the dealer got the electronic updates sorted out. Glad that you'll no longer be in the dark after sundown.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum

I haven't had any idea of what electrical problems there might be. I'm not an electrical expert, So I did some playing around with the lighting this morning. My car is an early MY 2014 S (production June 2013). with no special lighting package. My settings in the multi-function display are similar to the ones that Laz has. So, I played around with the reading lights, Here's what I found. With iby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
I agree. I don't think there's a magic thing that happens at 2000 mi / 3000 km (which is actually 1864 mi.). As I was approaching 3000 km, I started increasing rpms. Over the long haul, as you say, maintain it properly, take it easy until fully warmed up. As a guideline, I wait until oil temperature reaches at least 90 C / 194 F before considering the engine warmed up, before driving it "with eby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
Great pictures! A car like the Spyder is the perfect way to see the fabulous scenery. Beautiful backdrops. We enjoyed Yosemite a few years ago in a rental Mustang convertible. The Spyder would have been sweet icing on the cake. Just one question. Has Porsche changed the breaking period? It used to be 2000 mi.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
can see through the SUV's in front of them. ....oh, yes. They're the ones whose brake lights are constantly flashing on the highways and Interstates.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
Stoplight Grand Prix. Meh. Basically gets you nowhere faster (as you found) and puts others in danger.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
I wouldn't be surprised if they get close to or even the asking price. Porsche (and most other car manufacturers) are having trouble building as many new cars as they'd like, due in large part to the chip shortage. At a cars and coffee recently, I spoke to the the salesman who sold me my Boxster. He told me they're having trouble getting allotments. Anyone ordering a new Porsche right now couldby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum

We haven't had any Porsche pictures posted on Fridays for a while. Somebody has to be takins some pictures. Here are a couple taken at Kissing Bridge, one of two covered bridges remaining in Ontario.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
Your Spyder looks great! It's interesting to see that Porsche is showing the actual coolant temperature rather than cutting it off at 194 F as they've done in previous models.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
That break in routine sounds awesome. And when you want a change on the weekend, you can always take a side trip to Napa (the valley, not the store. ) Enjoy.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
Yes. It's a good article. Interestingly, I have a friend who has a 2003 996 cab that he's driving for the last couple of years. I just bought a 2005 987 from another friend that just picked up a new Spyder. He's had the 987 for a little over a week now and he's pretty enthusiastic about it. His comment was "I've had a chance to drive this for a few days now. Now I get why all of you Boxster drby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
Congratulations!!!!!!! The Spyder really is an awesome car. I find it hard to believe that you'll be doing any "old man's country cruisin' " in this car. It's going to be really hard to resist using that short shifter and conducting the Symphony in Flat Six piped out through that PSE stereo system. A friend just picked up his Spyder a little over a week ago and has already got almost 1,000 mi. onby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
It's been 50 years since this movie was released. This is a 6 minute clip. It's like a quadruple espresso to get you going in the morning.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum

I don't like backing into a garage because you're blowing the exhaust fumes into the garage, rather than out the garage door. Specially noticeable on a cold startup.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
Looks like that is a common wear area of the top. I have them too. I don't think the Raggtop makes a difference to the appearance of the marks. I don't recall the roof looking any different after I applied Raggtop last year. Just that it beads up nicely when it rains. Mainly, it help maintain the material layer and keeps it from fading.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
You can do your 981 carpeting and RaggTop will do the roof.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
