Pedro--What needy organizations will the hat purchase be provided too?by Blackbird - Main Forum
Get under the car and look. Probably the power steering pump, lines that run up the drivers side .by Blackbird - Main Forum
Pedro, Do you need to disconnect the line at the rack and pump and pull it out to replace item 15? Jerryby Blackbird - Main Forum
Pedro, How do you access item 15? From the LF fender liner or do you need to disconnect the line at the rack and pump and pull it out? Also, since the leak is at the coupling can you just replace it instead of the line with coupling or just replace the "O" rings in the coupling? Jerryby Blackbird - Main Forum
2003 S The PS pressure line is leaking at the joint from the steering rack--see item 15 below. What is the procedure to fix this issue?by Blackbird - Main Forum

03 S How do you remove the top idler pulley long bolt? It hits the bulk head sheet metal which precludes the bolt removal and subsequent pulley replacement.by Blackbird - Main Forum
Pedro, When the sender is removed from the tank, what procedure do you use to determine it is working correctly? For example, measure float electrical resistance from low to high setting, inspect movement of float to see if corrosion or other physical resistance is present, etc.? or exampleby Blackbird - Main Forum
How do you test the sender?by Blackbird - Main Forum
Fuel gauge shows empty with fuel in tank, all fuses OK & no codes. How do I test the sender and the gauge to determine the problem?by Blackbird - Main Forum
Please provide a pic and source for 3-spoke wheel. Is that front window and top for the squeak or side windows or both?by Blackbird - Main Forum
Why weren't you able to drive the car with the just the right half shaft connected? Did the transmission think the left half shaft was spinning that wheel and did not apply torque to the right shaft to allow it to move the car?by Blackbird - Main Forum
Buy Pittsburgh radiator pressure test kit 63862 or use loner kit from Autozone for cap fit. I don't know the pressure.by Blackbird - Main Forum
Guenter--What did the PSE have to do with the rear tires wearing out?by Blackbird - Main Forum
Update--Dealer checked with PCNA and the outer groove w/o a wear indicator does qualify for a tread depth measurement. The tires failed the CPO <4mm standard and will be replaced w/o a charge. Thanks for your help Marc.by Blackbird - Main Forum
Pedro, What is the PCNA formula? Grant's math = 60% Blackbird's math = 50% What is the PCNA formula and the correct % difference in tread depth on one axle for the values(5mm-3mm) cited?by Blackbird - Main Forum
The owners manual states a difference in tread depth on one axle must not exceed 30%. What formula is used to calculate the difference? eg V1-V2/V1+V2/2x100% LR= 5mm RR=3mm tread depth 5-3=2 5+3=8/2=4 2/4=.5x100=50% tread depth difference Is this correct?by Blackbird - Main Forum
Thanks Marc---I have same interpretation as you--Will find out tomorrow what dealer position is.by Blackbird - Main Forum
Thanks Pedro. Appreciate your wisdom on my Pzero thread below.by Blackbird - Main Forum
Pedro, As a HPDE Instructor would you ride in or drive a car with a plugged or patched tire?by Blackbird - Main Forum
I have purchased a 2016 CPO 981 and measured the outer groove on the rear tires and it was <4mm. I questioned it and the dealer said you cannot measure the outer groove because it has no wear indicators.I have requested to see the CPO policy that excludes any groove w/o wear indicators from measurement.by Blackbird - Main Forum
The issue is that their are no wear indicators in the outer groove and the tread depth is < 4mm (CPO standard). The other 3 grooves--2 center and 1 inner have tread depth > 4mm and have wear indicators. The Dealer is saying the outer groove cannot be used to measure tread depth because it has no wear indicator, therefore the tire cannot be replaced.by Blackbird - Main Forum
Pedro, When tire tread depth is measured on a Pirelli Pzero 265/35 ZR20 which has 4 circumferential grooves, is the outside groove which has no tread wear indicator considered to be part of the measurement? Said another way-----Do you only consider the 3 grooves with wear indicators and if the wear on any of those 3 is under 4mm (the CPO standard), does the tire need to be replaced?by Blackbird - Main Forum
Pedro, What are the other 981 regular maintenance tasks that require a Porsche specific PWIS or Durametric tool to accomplish? For example, break fluid flushing, spark plug replacement, etc.by Blackbird - Main Forum
