I suspect the design is the exact same. Just a guess, but they seem to only make minor tweaks to this unconditional stuff. I cleaned out my 2000S after about 195K miles, pics below. I don't remember the procedure, but I remember it to be pretty darn simple and I did not need instructions. You have to remove the front wheels, then the wheel liner and just start taking off screws. How goes it? Didn't you live in Switzerland for a while, still there? What are you driving? Peace Bruce in Phillyby Bruce In Philly (2000 S Boxster, now '09 C2S) - Main Forum
The Carrera GT is probably the only Porsche I have no desire to own. The maintenance costs are outrageous and it is to impracticable to be a daily driver. I lust after only things I can really use and afford to own. Buying is one thing, stupid cost of ownership eliminates a car for me since a close friend got into the Ferrari world. Exotic, to me, equals trouble. Even a 959 makes me nervous.by Bruce In Philly (2000 S Boxster, now '09 C2S) - Main Forum
Glad to hear you are enjoying your Porsche. My cold-story goes back to Cleveland OH back circa 1983..... I had (don't laugh) a Chevy Monza manual transmission. What a freakin' bucket of bolts. We, the Americans, deserved to have our clocks cleaned........ anyway..... I don't remember the temps.... way way below zero F..... it was so cold, the transfluid gelled and the clutch was virtually engaby Bruce In Philly (2000 S Boxster, now '09 C2S) - Main Forum
We need Trent...... he was a trip! I think I first posted on PPBB in 2000, or maybe later 1999. Yikes!!!! Let's see.... in that time, 197K miles on my 2000 Boxster S (purchased new), and now 76K traveled (26K new to me, now 96K miles) in my '09 C2S. That is 273K miles in 15 years in a Porsche. That is about 18.2K miles per year. I wonder how many posts per year, words, words per post.by Bruce In Philly (2000 S Boxster, now '09 C2S) - Main Forum
Hey Howard! You are a blast from our past. Did the dealer reboot the system? I understand there are a few ways. Pull the fuse, wait, push/hold "on" button to drain.. you want to drain all charge from caps so maybe pull fuse over night, a weekend?..... For PCM 2.0 could be reset/rebooted by holding down the 1-4-8 numeric buttons simultaneously. I don't know how to reboot PCM 3. I put a set of Blizzaks on my 2000 Boxster S... got them for free.. someone had used them, sold the car, gave them to me. The DARN THINGS WOULD NOT WEAR OUT!!!! Blizzaks were the best snow tire I owned for snow... period. However, they have no sidewalls therefore are mushy as all slop, and they are noisy noisy noisy as they wear. But.... they never wear out and are great in the snow. I figurby Bruce In Philly (2000 S Boxster, now '09 C2S) - Main Forum

I suspect this is in all Porsche manuals: "Pressure increase as the result of temperature increase In accordance with physical principles, the air pressure changes as the temperature changes. The tie pressure increases or decreases by around 1.5 psi (0.1 bar) for every 18 F (10 C) change in temperature. Grant, maybe I removed the lighter sockets back there.... but I did tap into power and those wires should be there... I probably covered them with electrician's tape. I just really don't remember. IIRC, I grabbed power from a wire there for the telephone option. These cars were pre-wired for an integrated telephone option and that was the most popular source of juice. The wire is definitely inby Bruce In Philly (2000 S Boxster, now '09 C2S) - Main Forum
Hi Grant, If you are talking about the blue one, I had installed a set of lighter slots in the center console. That is where the radar detector power cord went to. I stuffed it in a sock so it wouldn't vibrate and never had a socket vibrate or loosen out. I think I put a three-socket unit in there. I put a socket with USB plug cord in there and passed it through into the little cubby by driby Bruce In Philly (2000 S Boxster, now '09 C2S) - Main Forum

2009 C2S 91K miles OK, someone posted something about this a few weeks ago on another board and I can't find it. I think I should stop reading this stuff because I catch the cold. Issue: "Refill Washer Fluid" warning light pops on now when full. I use Rain-X almost exclusively. The darn thing is full. It popped on last week, darn didn't I just fill it?.... added less than a quart and it was fulby Bruce In Philly (2000 S Boxster, now '09 C2S) - Main Forum

I just did a quick check at Pelican and there is no OEM alt part for this. Very odd, as usually there is for this stuff. Prices vary on eBay but all claim "genuine". Maybe this is it? Peace Bruce in Phillyby Bruce In Philly (2000 S Boxster, now '09 C2S) - Main Forum
I just replaced the fluid in my 2009 C2S and it stopped a common problem where it would jam and not go into first. Manual denotes changing at 120K miles but I changed at 86K miles and it just fixed the problem. Another issue is the local dealer does not fill with spec fluid but uses the GT3 fluid (Delvac).... read more here: and read more here, in particular posts by Luxter and GTGears postby Bruce In Philly (2000 S Boxster, now '09 C2S) - Main Forum
Quoteboxtaboy Yeah, but I'd argue that pulling the manual from the GT3 made sense as it's made for the track, and on the track, for fastest lap times, a PDK makes sense. When they pull it from the regular 911s and Boxsters/Caymans, then that would stink. Interesting article...... I get it... but.... People still drive these cars for fun.. even at the track. ITs all the same... governed by law.... all flows through the same pipe system in USA... What does make a difference is the additives. These are added at the fuel depot into the tanker when the tanker loads to deliver to stations. Some say this just an attempt at companies trying to differentiate a commodity product.... others say some additives are good. Quotedb997S Did that stop them from making and selling the new one? This is why the 911 has become a grand touring car and is just no fun anymore. It is no longer a sports car but..... they raise the price, soften it up, make it bigger, and people buy more. There is a growing market for an inexpensive sports car. By inexpensive, I am thinking around 50K. Peace Bruce in Phillyby Bruce In Philly (2000 S Boxster, now '09 C2S) - Main Forum
I just purchased a nice sized block.. The company's sales have not shrunk by 1/3.. yes a risk, but I think this is a good buy. The emissions system isn't crushing or burning people. Peace Bruce in Phillyby Bruce In Philly (2000 S Boxster, now '09 C2S) - Main Forum
I, at 55, represent what I believe is a not-so-small demographic of enthusiasts who will always want a manual. I drove my friend's BMW i8... what an incredible achievement that car is. Being an audio nerd, I immediately could tell the sound was being driven through the amps and speakers. What crap. I asked my friend if that sound was processed and he was just plain embarrassed. Oh well, there certainly is no shortage of people liking fake stuff.... like silicon globes. Use a towel to separate the panels. Porsche gave us a "cloth" to put in the fold.... this is to both prevent scratching from abrasions due to surface-to-surface movement, but this plastic can flow together and stick. This plastic is made of two materials, a highly viscous liquid and a lattice skeleton. When pressed together, the liquid part can flow together and in really bad cases, can becomeby Bruce In Philly (2000 S Boxster, now '09 C2S) - Main Forum
