Took a drive along a favorite route to check out the fire damage from last year’s Caldor fire. Damn. Sad. I was able to find a few patches of color.by SMILIN - Main Forum
i first installed then years later pulled the cd changer in my ‘98. just plain ol’ boring ol’ rca jacks. i’m almost positive that’s what you’ll find behind the carpet. fiber came in later years.by SMILIN - Main Forum
i’m guessing that it’s been 20 years since the changer was used? um, i mean, when was it last successfully used? are the cds in upside down? does the cd info get presented on the radio display? do the songs appear to play (with song title presented)?by SMILIN - Main Forum
i often get text messages from my neighbors wishing me a nice drive, so i can enjoy it a little more knowing that they’re good sports about the rumbleby SMILIN - Main Forum
i keep telling myself (and the car forums) that someday i’m going to do a 911 GT1 wrap on a boxster. maybe i’ll do this kit instead??? swirls only, or full livery?by SMILIN - Main Forum

Dog. Wife. Bike. Dog+Wife. Snow. Forest roads. <<<all translate to too little time in the Boxster! Most recently...a trip to the middle of Nevada...hard to not dream of pushing the speed limit a bit. If you're not interested in zooming in, those speed limit signs are 80 MPH!by SMILIN - Main Forum
awesome ride! i did that at indy on the oval several years ago. i didn’t get the quick change of direction, but what stuck with me was the lift on my helmet. accelerate down the straight. head and whole body is lifted (feels like) out of the seat. hit the banked turn and get violently jammed back down in your seat repeat. not enough repeat. but it was AWESOME!by SMILIN - Main Forum
CFG - ha! our inside man. i ordered several items thru him.by SMILIN - Main Forum
nothing wrong with the PDK. having never driven one, i’ll go along with reports from others that it’s fantastic! enjoy whatever works for you.by SMILIN - Main Forum
very nice! my headlight trim is supposed to arrive tomorrow… so exciting! then, oil change. then, replacing the 8 year old tires. then, repairing the poor paint chip repair. then, heck, not sure, but i know there’s more.by SMILIN - Main Forum
i’ve used a few easy-to-find brands and they all seem to work well. the magic is in the UV/seal treatment at the end (make sure your kit includes). the lenses really polish up well using any plastic polish. i use my dual action random orbital every couple of years. i used sandpaper once. pretty forgiving and easy to get great results.by SMILIN - Main Forum
My baby will be 24 in January, with 152k on the clock. Just back from the biennial smog check, and she passed with flying colors. Not for a second did I think there would be an issue. She runs as smooth as ever and is as fun as ever. Now, if I could just drive her more....by SMILIN - Main Forum

i knew i should have stocked up when suncoast had the new litronic sets on sale…in 1999 excited to hear when you flip 300k!by SMILIN - Main Forum
i’m keeping an eye on recommendations too. i’ve tried many tires over the years and anything other than max performance michelins seemed to be a compromise in one way or another…maybe grip, road noise or flat spots when cold (that would smooth out as i arrived at work)…so i resigned myself to just bite the bullet and get the best. well, driving less than 1000 mi/year on my 986 now (currenby SMILIN - Main Forum
