Devilishly Excellent Job in the synco of the 666's.Thank goodness your tires can't hold 66 psi.....for long.by BLKBOXS - Main Forum
Well Done Guenter. Your car looks great! It takes lots of planning to get the "100" to show up like you did.by BLKBOXS - Main Forum
How long should the spark plug coils last? I was told that I should change them out as they are original. 2006 Boxster S 65K Miles. Thoughts?by BLKBOXS - Main Forum
Quotejlegelis Thx @blkbox and @jmstamford >> see if your water pump is giving you any signs of green stalactites Are you saying check the pump itself to see if it's dripping? Yes..not so much dripping but seeping. >> AOS - it will go soon, so probably best to do it while you are in there. Looks like a total PITA based on videos... anyone here done one themselves? -JohnLby BLKBOXS - Main Forum
Hi, Congrats on 20 years of Perma smiling. I would change out your AOS and see if your water pump is giving you any signs of green stalactites. If so, I would replace it. Keep enjoying for another 20 years!!by BLKBOXS - Main Forum
I would get rid of your house.. It sounds like a brake caliper could be seizing caused by your Emergency Brake?by BLKBOXS - Main Forum
Very Nice..you also need to get the color Porsche logo for your wheels.by BLKBOXS - Main Forum

QuoteGuenter in Ontario Looks great Mike. Do you have a write up or instruction and button source for the replacement? That seems to happen with the temperature and fan buttons on the 987. I had that happen with on my 2006. I took it to the dealer. They claimed they couldn't just replace the buttons and the whole control unit was replaced. That was done while it was still under warranty. Now aby BLKBOXS - Main Forum
Well I couldn't stand it any longer. I bought the darn gosh new knobs and watched the how to video 10 times and did it! Before: Out of Vehicle Old AC by me185001, on Flickr Compare old and new. If anyone is chomping on the bit to build this car, you can do it on the Australian Porsche site.by BLKBOXS - Main Forum
Too Late.. let the biases fly. I have an 2006 Boxster S with 63K that I have owned for 10+ years. Pros: 2nd Year of the 987 trusty 3.2 LTR flat six, low maintenance except for oil changes, spark plug and of course rear tires. Low purchase price compares to a 2008 as you shouldn't buy the 1st year of the a new model or engine change 2006 was noted as the least problematic Boxster Cons: 2by BLKBOXS - Main Forum
Thanks for sharing Pedro. I enjoyed it very much. Porsche should edit out 2:52 though. Anyone need a plumber?by BLKBOXS - Main Forum
Thanks for sharing those pics and memories with us. I bet it was an amazing vacation with good friends.by BLKBOXS - Main Forum
You do not state how many miles are on your 2006 Boxster S? I have the same model and year. I have 63K mikes and needed to change my AOS. It got rid of the check engine light and eliminated the idle variations. Good luckby BLKBOXS - Main Forum
2006 Boxster S 63K Well ….I finally replaced by 10 year old interstate MTP 94R H7(...not AGM), not because it was causing issues, because I could not believe that the battery kept going and I did not want to be stuck in a parking lot somewhere. I replaced it with a Interstate MTX 94R H7 AGM. I plugged in my Porsche brand Battery Tender in the cigar lighter and proceeded to remove the: Clampby BLKBOXS - Main Forum
QuoteTweety Hi Mike, Sorry you had this problem. What shop do you use? I live in KW also. Thanks Tweety! I use German Autotech on Colby Dr. in Waterloo. Mike's Team is very competent and reasonable$ ...IMHOby BLKBOXS - Main Forum
QuoteBLKBOXS I am being told that it is indeed the OAS unit that needs replacing. Strong Vacuum leak - OIL Cap could not be removed. I will send an update once I get the P Car back. Looks like the AOS was the culprit. 440 CND $ or 50 USD$ Thanks for everyone's feedback!by BLKBOXS - Main Forum

I have been told that the fuel cap change increase your HP by 5 and More: 1 ) The plastic cap causes a dissimilar metal reaction that immediately binds to the fuel modules impeding proper fuel flow to the injection ports. 2 ) It also reduces the CEL as the seal is 20% more effective than the plastic version. 3 ) You spend more time at the pumps as you get the "PORSCHE" to line up perfectly 4by BLKBOXS - Main Forum
I just had to look to see what was going on this afternoon.. Based on the pics it looks like i need a new OAS. What do you think...is this a no brainer? and should i get the whole intake cleaned while they are at it?? Thanks, I appreciate everyone's feedback. Oily intake from the top of the AOS. Pretty oily dust build up. Overall condition.by BLKBOXS - Main Forum
I had an oil change before hibernation back in November. I will check my oil cap. Thank you for the response!!by BLKBOXS - Main Forum
After a tank of gas, after a winter hibernation my Check engine light came on with the subject codes. My Indy cleared the code and told me it was system too lean and keep an eye on it. Well the next day my eye saw the CEL. I will assume the codes will be the same. After checking the internet it looks like the AOS. No White or Blue smoke is noticeable. Is it safe to continue to drive the P car?by BLKBOXS - Main Forum
- No PASM - I had my VIN decoded from Stuttgart cars and there was a lot more information listed then what was on my white sticker affix to one of my car manuals. Such as : 029 European specification standard suspension - (which started this thread) 199 Battery disconnection switch --(where is this switch??) 405 19" Carrera Classic wheels- (these did make it past the Dealer- car came withby BLKBOXS - Main Forum
Hi, Is there a difference between European stand suspension vs US standard suspension? Mikeby BLKBOXS - Main Forum
