Is there not reprogramming that needs to be done to accept the new A/C module?by BLKBOXS - Main Forum
We are speaking only in the present day I am sure that Roger's BLK BOX was just as stunning...however I did not see it ...only in Silver and looked very nice...but today .. OMG he has a very unique special colour....and yes I did say OMGby BLKBOXS - Main Forum
It looks good on Black....They say that black makes you looks thinner as well. Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!!!by BLKBOXS - Main Forum
Hi Guenter, I am sorry you got screwed. Glad you made it back safe and sound. As you know I worked at a tire center for a number of years and that repair is too close to the shoulder of the tire...especially for the "front" high speed rated tire. You being the King of Curves should seriously consider replacing your fronts. You don't wont to risk a blow out... .I have seen this too many times.by BLKBOXS - Main Forum
QuoteGuenter in Ontario n/t My Porsche looks like I added front lifters compared to the 981S That sure was a great day of Company and Driving.by BLKBOXS - Main Forum

I believe later in the build 06 987 the IMS was changed. Happy hunting.by BLKBOXS - Main Forum
OK.. So I could not stand to pay what the Dealer was asking for the updated maps for my 2006 987S PCM 2.1.It was going to be almost 600 CND$ - 369 plus 2 Hrs installation fee?? Thanks to Roger he stated the updates were substantial enough ...even in the east coast. I solicited 2 close to me Porsche Dealers and both of them had the upgrade discs at $369 and one at $368, however one dealer statedby BLKBOXS - Main Forum
I got a quote from the Porsche dealer in London Ontario and they told me it will take about 2hrs to set up the updated disc @ $129 per hour. "Installation is $129.00 + tax and could take up to 2 hours" Does this make sense?by BLKBOXS - Main Forum
Quotebb1 Hi folks - thanks for replying w/ that information. Coolant and oil levels are normal and no evidence they are dropping. So I will certainly work to get the AOS fixed based on what I have heard. It is under warranty? If not ....so darn close it should be covered....right?by BLKBOXS - Main Forum
Wow Roger...The real Winner is you!! It is a beauty! Congrats and enjoy.by BLKBOXS - Main Forum
I would get your electrical system checked out at the dealer...especially if you have had issues previously. Your car will most of the time give you clues that there is something wrong..for example I noticed I was loosing coolant and a few weeks later my WP shaft broke. .most likely caused by a coolant leak out of the vent hole onto the shaft. I would think your Boxster is still in the warrantby BLKBOXS - Main Forum
If you are not losing coolant...then I would say it is your AOS. How is your oil usage?by BLKBOXS - Main Forum
Roger, Since I know you and G Man have very similar tastes in Porsche models and options ... I will guess the following: 2014 Boxster S - given Black - Color doesn't really matter...because you going to get it painted GT Silver eventually Black interior 20" Carrera S wheels - Platinum Satin 6 speed Sports Chrono Package Sports suspension Sports exhaust Sport steering wheel Navigation with Boseby BLKBOXS - Main Forum
Thanks Roger. When you get the DVD...can you just plug and play?by BLKBOXS - Main Forum
I am looking for feedback from folks who have Extended Navigation. I have a 2006 987S Boxster with PCM 2.1 and thinking of adding the extended option. I find in Canada there are lots of "OFF Road" roads and I think with the extended navigation it will learn these roads?? I am also looking for feedback on the map updates that Porsche offers...I am wondering how "updated" they are. Any feedbackby BLKBOXS - Main Forum
Congratulation Roger on your new Boxster. I am sure this transaction will cure your withdrawal you have been suffering this summer. I hope the next time you are visiting Guenter, you fine P Folks will ping me and we all can marvel in everything Porsche! I can't wait to see what you selected. Well done Roger!!!by BLKBOXS - Main Forum
Hi Jeff, Congratulation on your new Porsche. I am sure you will have many permagrins.by BLKBOXS - Main Forum
Looks Great Guenter.. Thanks for Sharing those pics...really cool how you super imposed the pics to show the difference in the throws. At first I thought you put in another shifter for the passenger...but I guess that would get complicated ..by BLKBOXS - Main Forum

QuoteRoger987 A well-equipped US 2013 981S runs about $60k US, or $78k Canadian, plus 6.1% duty (and then the same 14% sales tax that applies to any car purchase here - US import or Canadian car). Hey Roger, I don't know when this is going to happen...not soon enough I would image...most likely when the US and Canadian $s hit par.by BLKBOXS - Main Forum
Guenter... what was the first thing you noticed...mine was the real Transmission When we have such beautiful wives...what else would we notice!!!by BLKBOXS - Main Forum
QuoteTheFarmer I was at Autobahn today to see about my water pump. Luckily, the impeller is intact, so it did not fragment and send all those bits of metal through the cooling system. The bearing at the front of the pump went. Again - thanks to Mike for his post just the other day. Shutting my car down quickly probably saved me a lot of grief. You are quite welcome Paul.. This is what thisby BLKBOXS - Main Forum
Sorry it happened to you as well Paul. My Indy called to tell me he got a Porsche WP today and he installed it. Get this....the WP was spinning freely..not seized Soooo what would cause the shaft to snap?? Who the heck knows? Anyways the pump and belt is replaced and the coolant filled (The Indy is going to burb it tomorrow and I will be picking up the Boxster in the evening. Case Closed!!!by BLKBOXS - Main Forum

My wife and I were enjoying a beauteous ride on a great sunny and warm day in southern Ontario a few hours ago when I heard: Bang...Slap Slap Slap....No power steering...Battery and Generator not charging warning light came on.
