In Canada ...the great white north over 36 years of winter driving. I have tried all winters on my cars and the best so far for traction and quietness is hands down the Michelin Alpin. A few years back my tire guy convinced me to buy Bridgestone snows. Traction OK...but the road noise was not good...I thought I was driving a monster 4X4. IMHOby BLKBOXS - Main Forum
My 987S 2006 will puff out blue smoke a few times a year when I park on a grade up, down or side to side. I remember when I took my first 2005 987 out for a test drive at the dealer and it was parked uneven and I started it up and OMG lots of Blue smoke and the Sales Guy stated not to worry...its just the way the car sitting on the angle. I must have believed him.by BLKBOXS - Main Forum

I went to the Porsche Dealer (London) and got it fixed up at a very reasonable cost. (130 cnd +Tax for both sides) So far so good. They also fixed my cup holder for $30..I popped a spring. I was impressed as this was my first Porsche Dealer service.by BLKBOXS - Main Forum
In the area that I live there are few Porsches out and about. I find that on nice sunny warm days the compliments are fast and furious from thumbs up, cat calls and like Guenter....some proposals I was at the beer store (it is a Canadian thing) and I was taking empties (caused by evaporation) out of my frunk and this middle aged lady asked if she could help me .. I said thanks but I could handlby BLKBOXS - Main Forum

Wonder Post... Thanks. I own a 2006 Boxster S and I have driven and owned many cars in my past and I can only speak about one Porsche that is in my garage. I am very impressed with the robustness (I am sure it is a word) such as braided hoses, the finish of the full leather, the unique sound of the engine, the fit and function of the interior cabin and I haven't seen one part from Korea or Chinaby BLKBOXS - Main Forum

QuoteGuenter in Ontario GT Silver does have depth. In some angles on a sunny day, it looks like diamond dust sprinkled on it. It really changes with different lighting conditions. Guether, Your car looks great...however very lonely...These cars run better in packs...especially with a Black 987S Also ....I would be careful when you mention "diamonds"...just in case your beautiful wife is aroundby BLKBOXS - Main Forum
