In last Friday's Wall Street Journal, there was a piece (sorry, no link) on states turning to vanity plates to raise money. Not, by raising annual fees, but through auctions. A Dallas Doctor paid $7,500 for a plate with PORSCHE on it. He also paid $3,000 for a plate AMERICA (becoming a citizen next month). He tried for one with FERRARI, but that bidding got up to $15,000, so he dropped out. Aby db997S - Main Forum

supposedly, the HP will remain at 270 for a blown flat four (twin turbo). Displacement is 2.0l. May not be until 2013 at earliest until they drop it in.by db997S - Main Forum
A little more technical, but a cheap junkyard 3.4 engine. Already have the center radiator. If you can find it from the same general year as your car, it is "easier" to do. Add in headers air intake, S brakes, etc.by db997S - Main Forum
That's where Ambien comes into play--poorman's first class as i like to call it. I use it on international flights when flying coach. Your doctor maybe able to get you a seven-day trial supply without an office visit. If all else fails, then Advill PM, which is over the counter. The rocking should put you to sleep like a baby.by db997S - Main Forum
PAG Press Release from June 23, 2011by db997S - Main Forum
Internet rumors I've seen actually has/had Porsche putting more distance between the Boxster/Cayman and the 911, not just the Baby Boxster, either. The thought is that even though the 2012 Boxster will be slightly larger and wider than the current, the engine will drop down to a turbo charged flat 4 (no idea on hp, torque or displacement). The new Baby Boxster's flat four would not be Turbo chaby db997S - Main Forum
I 100% agree with your statement: "In my experience, the vast majority of customers who get great customer service when something goes wrong will highly praise the vendor. For example, how many complaints have you heard from Porsche owners whose problems have been covered by warranty?" When my engine (IMS) failed on my 02 SYS, while on vacation, Porsche not only paid for my night in the hotel iby db997S - Main Forum
Wonder if it is a Y-shaped stick where you put the arms of the Y in each hand, and then waive the stick part over your engine compartment. If the stick dips down when moved over the IMS, you're in deep doo doo. ONce you know for sure, the device can be used in the same manner to help you detect underground water.by db997S - Main Forum

So, the basic tone of the "article" about a$$hole Porsche drivers cutting people off and parking in no parking zones basically tells me why I seem to be getting more grief everytime I drive my car. on my way home last night, some idiot in an old, beat up caddy was yelling and hollering at me as he passed--not nice things, either. I didn't do a dang thing. There's just a general sense of rudeneby db997S - Main Forum
They also need to update their records. I got the same solicitation telling me how much more technologically advanced the new 911 is. Problem is, I have a 2009 997S Cab. Why would I trade it in for the same car when mine's only 18 months old? At least wait until the new 911 comes out next year, then try and get me to flip.by db997S - Main Forum
According to published reports, it was early Monday morning. The dude was only 34. Some reports say speed played a factor.by db997S - Main Forum
Marietta is close to the WV state line, that's why I was suggesting going into WV instead of OH. I've been to the Southwestern part of WV in my Boxster and found some roads that almost made me car sick they were so twisty and empty. Eventually, had to slow it down or mess up my interior pretty badly. Unfortunately, that part of the state is probably too far from Marietta, OH, for your trip.by db997S - Main Forum
Don't know about OH, but if it were me, I'd go deep into WV. Centeral WV is unfreakin believable. Same with Southern--twisty and secenic. Not sure if you are looking for day trips from a centralized spot in OH, or if you plan on stopping at motels along the route to circle back to your SUV/Trailer. You can take 50 due east from Parkersburg, WV, for about 60 to 80 miles to 119/250 south/east.by db997S - Main Forum

This weathly trust fund baby was found guilty of killing two peds with his 911 Turbo in Ft. Lauderdale (ran them down doing excess of 100 in a 30 mph zone). He fled the scene and then dumped his car. According to published reports, under FL law, the victims' families can plead leniency during sentencing. Well, this dude supposedly paid them an undisclosed sum of money, and then they asked theby db997S - Main Forum
I think you'll like the PDK, especially if you are in the Atlanta area with all that traffic. Critics and others have had taken issue with the shift buttons on the wheel (vs paddles), but I rather like them since I always don't do the shuffle for steering. On the track, auto mode is amazing so you don't even have to think about shifting. Simply mash the gas peddle and go. Lift when needed, thby db997S - Main Forum

A little too soon in its life to know for sure. One major flaw was desgined out of the old engine, but nobody knows at this point if that created other issues. I have an '09 997S and have much better peace of mind at this point with the car than I did with my MY '02 Boxster S, which lost an egine at 10,001 miles due to the IMS, which is the flaw that was designed out of the old engine. I've paby db997S - Main Forum
That's why I married young, get 'em when they don't know any better. My wife of 25 years learned early on the eye roll when I pull things like you did. Now, it's an eye roll and a whatever.by db997S - Main Forum

Actually, they do state max range is estimated to be 107 miles or 170 km. So, a great everyday car, but keep the fossil fule version for those road trips.by db997S - Main Forum
It was like that when i was shopping for my Porsche in '09, but this is where the internet is great. I'd send each a separate, but similar e-mail with exactly what options you want for easy comparision and indicate the max you are willing to pay. Heck, try $34,995 and see if anyone bites, maybe that last in-state one will since it's only about $670 less then what he's offering. The old theoryby db997S - Main Forum
