Not impressed with the sound of the turbo 4. Makes me happy that I picked up a 2016!by jg wnc - Main Forum
It will be worth the trip. There are even some folks from your neck of the woods that come down. See you there!by jg wnc - Main Forum
If you swap the shell to your current hard key, make sure that you get the RFID pill out of your old key head and replace it in the new one. Once you do that, everything should work fine. There should be pics in the archives here of where the pill is actually located in the key head if you can't figure it out just from looking at it.by jg wnc - Main Forum
I understand the approach and it makes good sense. The only hangup is that I have a V1 and i don't know how effective the rear-facing sensor would be from that position.by jg wnc - Main Forum
Any chance you have a wheel bearing starting to go? Had to replace a few on my 986S.by jg wnc - Main Forum
I just completed my first 981 Hack today. I did not like that the USB phone connection was in the glove box vs. the center console. So I bought a 10' synch cable and plugged it into the outlet in the glove box and routed the cable under some of the intertior trim panels so that it would end up in the center console. Not a terribly complex hack, but this will be much more convenient for plugginby jg wnc - Main Forum
I trust the family will be having an especially Merry Christmas!by jg wnc - Main Forum
I think my 12 day old Boxster will get to play in the rain this week too. Going to get Xpel film installed tomorrow and it is supposed to be raining here. BTW, have you posted pix? I don't recall having seen any shots of the new beauty.by jg wnc - Main Forum
It sure felt like coolant - very slick, but could have been washer fluid too. It was definitely green in color. I did check the coolant level and it was below the MIN mark on the tank. And there is no doubt that it was needing to be driven over the holiday. I will try to remedy that after it gets back from the dealer and installation of Xpel clear film on Wednesday.by jg wnc - Main Forum
Got home from Thanksgiving vist to our daughter last night, opend up the garage door and saw this: Checked and it is coolant So this morning it is on its way back to the dealer @ 27 miles. Methinks a good German factor worker had one too many beers at lunch.by jg wnc - Main Forum

In all respects: No turbo, flat 6, 6 speed, sport exhaust, sport suspension, ++++++++ I don't plan to ever put mine on the market either. Or at least until they pry it from my cold, dead hands! BTW, car landed at the port in Jax yesterday........by jg wnc - Main Forum
The ship has left Halifax and next stop is NYC! This is taking for-ever. Way too many stops!!!by jg wnc - Main Forum
Yep, your dealer can tell you the name of your ship. Mine is on the Delphinus Leader and it should arrive at Halifax tomorrow. It is due in Jacksonville on November 6. I have no idea if there might be an intermediate stop in somewhere like New Jersey or not. Who knows, our cars might be on the same ship! My car is due at the dealer on 11/13. The dealer should also be able to provide you witby jg wnc - Main Forum
Yep, that is my guess too, and maybe even stops in Charleston or Savannah or Brunswick too as I expect there are more than just Porsches on the ship. Scheduled arrival in JAX is 11/6, and my guess is that they have an appointment at the dock at that date and time. Of course if it arrives in Halifax on 10/31, that doesn't allow too much time for too many stops. Initially I thought following theby jg wnc - Main Forum
Oh Yeah!!!! That's the whole idea! The ship is in Valencia Spain. Next stop............ Halifax Canada on 10/31! Grrrrrrrrr!by jg wnc - Main Forum
Oh yeah! Hoping we have a little warm weather left after it gets here.by jg wnc - Main Forum
Spain!!!!! Aaaaarrrrrrhhhhhhhh! The ship left Emden Germany on 10/15 a day earlier than scheduled and is due to land in Jacksonville on 11/6. I thought that was a long time for an Atlantic crossing and now I know why. Looking at the ship tracker, it is due to arrive near Valencia Spain on 10/20. For a brief moment, there was a gllimmer of hope that delivery could be done much earlier thanby jg wnc - Main Forum

Sweet ride for your sweetie - and occasional Home Depot runs. Yeah, black is tough - it shows every speck of dirt and every imperfection in the finish. Keep your wash kit handy!by jg wnc - Main Forum
