What Jeff said. Then if still no progress, this is looking like the key switch problem which us usually accompanied by a random variety of strange electrical activity. I think you can look at Pedro's site and find the information about replacing the key switch - it is fairly easy except for positioning your body in the driver's footwell. When my key switch went, it was accompanied by strange eby jg wnc - Main Forum
If you are handy with a soldering iron, you can replace just the buttons on the circuit board. I have replaced a couple on one of my key heads and they work fine now. Search the archives for the company that sells the switches and the part number. IIRC the switches were like $.70 each. I paid more for shipping than the parts, but well worth it. If nothing shows up in the search, let me knowby jg wnc - Main Forum
They do a couple joint events with PCA and those are at AMS. Doing an SCCA PDX (SCCA equivalent to a DE) this weekend at Road Atlanta.by jg wnc - Main Forum
Until they moved them to Atlanta Motor Speedway which is way too far to drive for 5 minutes of run time. When they move the AX's back to civilization, I'll run some more. I have been planning to do some SCCA AX, but just havent' gotten around to it.by jg wnc - Main Forum
Old style AOS, and yes it was a pain in the butt, but doable. It definitely helped to take the RR wheel off and get at it from below. And it is a bit of a pain to get the flex tube and bottom connection all lined up with the bolts. As far as how far to insert the bottom 90 degree tube, I did not worry about pressing it in too far - I let the bolts do that as I tightened them up. I was satisfiby jg wnc - Main Forum
There are several of us around. I am currently out in Colorado. What are you thinking?by jg wnc - Main Forum
I think the archives are searchable if you log on. It has been a long time since I logged on, but IIRC that was the deal.by jg wnc - Main Forum
I bought the new can of Plexus. As I was applying it, I thought about it and decided that when the day comes that I do unload my 02S, the Plexus will go with it.by jg wnc - Main Forum
Cognac Metallic is a Panamera color. I'd love to see one in the flesh, but none at the dealers in ATL.by jg wnc - Main Forum
Exposed to the elements and very close to the exhaust. Its pretty darn remarkable the boots last as long as they do.by jg wnc - Main Forum
OEM batter lasted until 1/19/2007 - just a bit of 5 years. The car was a daily driver at the time and got plenty of time to warm up and charge the battery. I replaced it with an Optima red top battery at that time which is showing no signs of losing its oomph. The cost of the battery at that time was $154.95, plus I had to buy the mounting plate. Since 2008, I have been working from home, soby jg wnc - Main Forum
the headlights would not come on. I could flasht he brights and the fog lights worked. I could fiddle with the switch and the headlights would eventually come on. I was able to do this a few times until I could not get them to come on at all. The failure is not sudden, but it is not drawn out either. Mine is a 2002 S. Probably better to go ahead and get the part and replace it. Better thanby jg wnc - Main Forum
Negotiations 101. Whether you get a lawyer or not, you need to strongly state your case and re-state your case and start escallating within Volvo (LinkedIn is your friend) and perhaps state consumer agencies and the feds. I had a disasterous river cruise in Eastern Europe last year. I took until the 4th offer (from the EVP of Marketing, not some lowly customer service lackey) before they madby jg wnc - Main Forum
Looking forward to catching up at BRBS!by jg wnc - Main Forum
I am a member of PCA, but not especially active. They moved all the autocrosses to Atlanta Motor Speedway which is more than an hour from where I live. I just am not excited about driving 2+ hours down to Hampton and back for 4-5 runs at around 2 minutes apiece. When they find a place to do autocross closer to town, I will participate again. Definitely make BRBS. And Mer, I am sure others froby jg wnc - Main Forum
"It was not an off-piste track. They (Schumacher and his son Mick) were skiing on pistes, but in the moment that it happened, it was not on the piste." I am not fully sure what this means. It is pretty ambiguous. It could mean that they were hitting the areas between marked runs, or maybe they ducked out of bounds on a run that bordered on the edge of the ski area. Regardless, I saw that he hby jg wnc - Main Forum

Saw a dealer loaner on the road in this color. Beautiful! When I get my 981 (someday), those are the colors that I will be shooting for.by jg wnc - Main Forum
It is a lot more fun (and rewarding) to drive a slow car fast than it is to drive a fast car fast. And much more rewarding than driving a fast car slow!by jg wnc - Main Forum
I can't find my instructions easily. The blue plug goes into the same plug that the CD player uses, if that helps. IIRC, as you look at the back of the head unit, it is the top right recepticle.by jg wnc - Main Forum
If you are looking at the lemon law, then I presume you bought a new Volvo recently. I thought you said some time ago that you were ready to get into a Porsche again. So something changed your mind, I guess. Maybe this is karma! Hope to see you back in a Boxster/Cayman soon!by jg wnc - Main Forum
Actually I was crewing for some friends with a bugeye Sprite. Back then the place was a real $h*t hole! Facililties were non-existant, restrooms were essentially outhouses, nothing nearby. My how things change!by jg wnc - Main Forum
Obviously there is everything under the sun there from very high end sports cars to custom rods to restored classics. There is no particular place for groups to gather. It can get downright huge if the weather is good. Plan to get there earlier the better in order to get a good place to park. I have been a couple times at other locations. Hey Grant, I finally got a track day in last weekend at Road Atlanta at an SCCA PDX with the Stop Techs. The pads are terrific. Good bite, no fade. Works great as a street pad too. The brake dust is pretty bad, but I can deal with that for having brakes that don't fade, especially at the end of the back strait at Road Atlanta. I was pretty happy - I managed to pass a BMW 335 and a 370Z withby jg wnc - Main Forum
An the Boxster adds a nice accent. I was up at Road Atlanta this weekend. I commented to one of the other folks up there that there sure wasn't much color this fall. Don't know if our wet summer has killed the colors or what, but yours sure look terrific. We were out in Colorado in early October, and the colors were really late in coming out there too. When we left on October 5, there was 14by jg wnc - Main Forum
