I had them put them in my 986 and find that with the top down I can set the balance to the rear speakers and actually hear the radio while driving at speed with the top down. I'm happy. TLCby tom coughlin - Main Forum
In the late 1960's while looking to buy a 356 I saw an ad for a car that I'd never seen before so I bought it. I later found out that they only built ten or so of them-no wonder I'd never seen one. That is RARE! The car now lives with the English Ford Six replaced by a Chevy V8.by tom coughlin - Main Forum
I have found (in the case of the Boxster) it is best to wipe the window with a wet cloth to get off the dust. I pat mine dry and once a year use "Plexus" (available in boat and other stores) to remove scratches and keep conditioned. With the Boxster, the exterior side of the window, which of course is the dusty side, folds upon itself and will rub as you drive. Good. luck, Tomby tom coughlin - Main Forum
I bought a AAA policy a few years ago (and I only needed it one time for a few hundred $). I selected AAA because they cover everything with stated exceptions whereas other companies do it the other way around only covering what they state. Second, it appeared to me that these companies tend to come and go (out of business) whereas AAA has always been there. In retrospect I should have banked theby tom coughlin - Main Forum
and you'll find a diagram of the drains locations. I believe interior wetness is most likely from clogged rear drains-an easy fix. Tomby tom coughlin - Main Forum
There are four factory jacking points. Look in (or if you don't have one, buy one) an owner's manual where they are described.by tom coughlin - Main Forum
Video: Porsche's Head of GT Cars shares details of Cayman GT4 Wednesday, February 4, 2015 By Damon Lowney Porsche announced the Cayman GT4 yesterday, a true driver's Porsche with 385 horsepower and a manual transmission, but information about the car's specifications, development process, and how much it actually shares with the GT3 was thin in Porsche's press release. Fortunately Andreas Prby tom coughlin - Main Forum
I hope you were not implying that the dipstick was behind the wheel, because that could be misinterpreted to read that the dipstick could be the one driving the car (LOL). TLC356 (C Cab since 1979, Pre-A, "55 coupe)by tom coughlin - Main Forum
Junk gets lodged in front of the radiators and needs to be cleaned out. You've got a fun car-enjoy. Tomby tom coughlin - Main Forum
The AAA driver told me a few years ago that he wouldn't sell me a battery since the AAA one they sold then didn't have enough power for my car (several callbacks for failed new batteries). He did however offer to test mine (he was already there) and it turned out to need a charge. I hooked up my charger and recharged and I'm still driving with it. I must have left something on that killed my batby tom coughlin - Main Forum
I have a spare muffler that I am willing to experiment with. Tomby tom coughlin - Main Forum
and it really helps to keep the dirt out and especially to eliminate the worry of bird attacks. Although not waterproof (in any sort of real rain storm), it will keep mild rain out. When I bought mine they offered a more rain proof version but it was a shiny silver. I got the cloth one and I continue to be happy with it. Tomby tom coughlin - Main Forum
How many possibilities are there? 1. You didn't tighten the lug nuts enough (95 not enuf?) and they all fell out at about the same time. 2. Somebody tried to rob your tire/wheel setup but quit early or just needed lug nuts. 3. Yes, in fact they were trying to do you in, and removed all the lug nuts!. We can all guess, but I hate to tell you that we will only know after you are lost when aby tom coughlin - Main Forum
And the right side is the one I hear from while driving.by tom coughlin - Main Forum
Is it a strut bushing (or bearing) that makes a squeak any time my car is moved up and down? If yes, should I replace both sides now even though only one side is complaining? I can make it happen by pushing down on the fender and I hear it driving as the car goes up and down. It is not directly related to hitting bumps that cause the suspension to move quickly, but is more related to the changeby tom coughlin - Main Forum
It is also important to note that natural gas prices have been at all time low levels which may be a factor. I, for one would like to see something as to what this will do for the end users and our car's engines. Tomby tom coughlin - Main Forum
3M has a new clear film that you spray on (mask off any area you don't want to over spray). When you no longer want it on the car, peel it off! Now, has anybody tried it? Sounds great to me!by tom coughlin - Main Forum
I remember finding it on-line. Even if you don't use AAA, I'm sure that you can hand it to your guy. I suspect I found it on the AAA website. Good Luckby tom coughlin - Main Forum

A friend recently bought a 2000 base model stick with 38000 miles, very clean car from the wife of a fellow who has dementia and can't drive any more. Private party sale $11,500 and both parties happy. I'll bet dealer will deal (and possibly add CPO if not offered now). Good luck, Tomby tom coughlin - Main Forum
Wow, old Dr. Ferdinand was quite the monster. Let's see how my memory is, as I seem to think that I once read that Hitler had just been in power a short while (still legally the elected leader before grabbing power) when the VW and Auto union projects started. I also seem to remember from Ferry's book, that after the war an American officer came up with some SS papers. Ferry told them that he aby tom coughlin - Main Forum

Plexus is the right advice. The other advice is to clean dust off the plastic before lowering. I only need to use Plexus on my OEM '02 window once in a great while and the window is clear. Try this-take a wet paper towel and wipe the plastic (you'll be surprised at how much dust can get on that window). Then pat (not wipe) with dry paper towels. This dust is a problem because when the top is lby tom coughlin - Main Forum
I think a Boxster with studded tires would have had trouble in the monster traffic jams in Atlanta. I drive my '02 year round in Boston and yes you do need winter tires at any temp below 40 or there is dangerously poor traction even on dry and clear roads. Tomby tom coughlin - Main Forum
If you are an AAA member they will come out and test it for you. When mine was dead the AAA came and said the battery they had wasn't right for the Boxster so he wouldn't sell me one, but he could test mine. He did, and said it just needed a charge (somebody left light on I guess). I gave it a deep charge and it has been good for over a year. In your case, you may need a new one. the incompetent crappy drivers who have to be near the left edge so they can "see" where they are! Of course since the "left lane is for passing only" law in my state is never enforced, we more often than not have to pass on the right.by tom coughlin - Main Forum
I put this in my '02 and it works great to give a variable delay for the wiper. Is it still available, and if not is there a new part number to replace it? tomby tom coughlin - Main Forum
