Rear wheel in front trunk, '98 Boxster.

Will a rear wheel fit in the front trunk of a '98 Boxster after the emergency spare is removed? I had heard that it won't. If not, I guess it would fit on the passaenger seat. But if you had a passaenger, I would think they would not be too happy to be left on the side of the road.:X
