Glad to hear it was resolved; let's hope it stays that way.

For that model the BMW 335i it was a very big deal, especially with cars dying in traffic or going into the limp mode on interstates. I guess BMW got the message and decided to save their reputation and do the right thing by their customers. Apparently it hasn't gotten to that point with Porsche.

You don't happen to know the manufacturer of the pump or their part#, do you?

Glad to hear it was resolved; let's hope it stays that way.

If you go through the HPFP archives over on the Bimmerfest board, you'll find dozens of people --just on that board-- that had one or more pumps replaced in the 2007-09 time frame while BMW struggled to find and answer to their problem. IIRC, there was a class action started which was resolved with BMW extending the warranty on the part for 8 years(?) or 100K miles.
