Thank you to all. I soldered a fuse to some wire (with it's own fuse) that could be inserted into the fuse panel in place of the central locking fuse. I sent power to it via a jump-box grounded under the foot-well. That immediately lit up a few things that must also be on that circuit like the door lights. I used the key-fob to lock, then unlock the entire car via the central locking system. That unlocked the lever for the trunk, and SUCCESS!!!!
I can't tell you how appreciative I am of everyone's help in getting me to this place.
What a great group of people you guys are.
